The church more than ever before require servant leaders that would not wait to be served rather are willing to look for opportunities to serve with a view to making their people better. These are leaders that chart the path of Jesus'model of being visionary, redemptive and not powerbase. If the Church must impact our generation, there's no contesting the fact that we must do leadership from the knee up. I come from Nigeria where leadership is struglling between the western mega church corporate church prosperity model is making many church leaders confuse on which one to follow: in the midst of poverty and the challenge of everyday demands. We must walk the path of attending to the growth and empowering our church members such they are able to do their work of service. Jesus served and gave His life as ransome because He came not to be served rather to serve and leave us an example to follow in His steps, in this he was able to reduce the risk of conflict and foster growth.
