Since my first Kristen Heitzmann book, The Rose Legacy, she has been my favorite author. Her characters are vivid and passionate. Her scenes keep you on the edge of your seat, and her dialogue makes you feel like you are watching a movie. Once I start one of her books, I can't put it down.
I was first introduced to her through The Diamond of the Rockies Series. When she continued that family legacy through the Michelli Family, I was hooked. In those books, she always left a mystery at the end that kept me reading the next in the series, and that is what a truly gifted writer does.
I manage the library at my church and have noticed that she is also a favorite of many of our fiction readers. I'm looking forward to ordering some of her newer books to put on our shelves.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I could identify with the solitary young woman who bought the house to try and run away from her past. I loved the historical aspect to the book, which added an interesting twist. I would really recommend this book. This is another book that I read in one sitting. Could not put it down.
