Author Amy Clipston treats her readers to a wonderful sweet romance that will hold a special place in their hearts. When traveling nurse Everleigh Hartnett returns to Coral Cove to attend her godmothers funeral she learns that she has inherited half of a bed and breakfast inn. The other half of the inn belongs to a handsome grumpy stranger.

Cade Witherspoon would rather run the Sunshine Inn by himself. As far as he is concerned Everleigh can be a silent partner and let him run the business. Everleigh wants to list the inn on the market and sale it so she can use the money to start a nonprofit . Cade wants to expand the Inn and eventually open a restaurant there. Everleigh doesnt give up easily and doesnt miss an opportunity to try to convince Cade that her late godmother would approve of her plans. Cade seems to get more stubborn with each passing day. It would seem that their business partnership has started out on the wrong foot.

I was drawn into this book from the first chapter. Besides Everleigh and Cade beind attracted to each other there is a lot of other things happening in this story to keep you turning pages. I thought all the characters added to the story. I found the book to be emotional, captivating and realistic. Im glad I got a chance to read it.

I recommend this book to readers of contemporary romance and to fans of the Author. Second Chance at Sunshine Inn is scheduled for release on 7/8/25.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Two owners, who are totally opposite of each other, have inherited a beloved seaside bed-and-breakfast.

Everleigh Harnett, who was the goddaughter and wants to sell the inn to have money to fund the nonprofit she and her godmother wanted to create, but then she finds out there is another owner.

Cade Witherspoon had been the groundskeeper and had lived there to watch the godmother of Everleigh does not want his quiet life to be disturbed.

Over time, they become friends, but how is that going to affect if they sell or keep the inn.

Add a land developer who wants to buy it and they are now having to make some hard choices.

Will they choose to sell the Inn, or will they develop a deep friendship and keep the inn.

This is a good book of two opposite personalities and how they develop a friendship and if they end up selling the inn. It was very enjoyable to read and I recommend it to those who like to read romance books.

Thanks to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson Fiction for this advanced copy.

Second Chance at Sunshine Inn by Amy Clipston is a nice contemporary romance story. This is a nicely written story that is easy to read and enjoy. Everleigh is a traveling nurse, who has returned home for her godmother's funeral. She finds out she has inherited her godmother's inn jointly with the caretaker, Cade. She wants to sell the inn and get back to her life, while he wants to keep the inn and add on to the business. While Everleigh was very important to her godmother, there is a lot that has happened in her godmother's life that she is not aware of. Yet Cade was there for her godmother in a time that she really needed someone.

This is a nice story that shows how the lack of communication can cause problems for those left behind. I enjoyed reading of the struggles Everleigh and Cade went through while coming to the conclusion of what to do with the Inn. I like how they reach a compromise on how to move forward. I enjoy how despite their differences, they are there for each other and care for each other. I also appreciate the parts of the story of the relationship Everleigh has of her sister and the parts of the story that focus on Cade and his new found relative.

I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this story, this is my honest review.

Everleigh and Cade are so scarred from previous relationships that they have each decided to live their life by themself. When they are bequeathed co-ownership of Sunshine Inn by Everleigh's godmother and Cade's boss, they are thrown together. Everleigh wants to sell, but Cade wants to keep running the inn. Who will win the contest of wills?

Amy Clipston's "Second Chance at Sunshine Inn" is about second chances. Second chances at healing family relationships, second chances at trusting, second chances at dreams, and second chances at love.

Releases July 8th. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This book took me through the gauntlet of emotions from grief and confusion to frustration, anger, and hurt to love. It was a grumpy/sunshine romance novel with two strangers who were thrown together unexpectedly under sad circumstances. Everleighs beloved godmother passed away suddenly and Everleigh was surprised to find that she left half of her estate to Everleigh including the Sunshine Inn which she had operated for many years in their seaside town. But even more surprising was that she left the other half to a stranger and former employee, Cade, who lived at the property. Soon after the reading of the will, Everleigh and Cade found themselves in disagreement over what to do with their part of the inheritance. Side characters in the story provided some twists and turns and gave opportunity for the couple to develop some mutual compassion and understanding and the plot hinged on the relationship that developed between them and how they resolved their disagreement in a way that satisfied them both. I enjoyed the book and received a complimentary copy from the publisher. All opinions expressed are strictly my own.
