Product Description

In his fourth expedition in the Bible Explorer Series, Bob Cornuke sets sail on an adventure in the Mediterranean Sea to the island of Malta in search of the ancient lead anchors from the shipwreck of the apostle Paul. Using the words of Acts 27 from the Bible and techniques he learned as a police officer and crime scene investigator, the modern-day Indiana Jones probes every angle of this 2,000-year-old mystery to prove the historical accuracy of God's Word and determine if the anchors originally found by Maltese fishermen in the 1960s and early 1970s are indeed remnants of Paul's misadventure at sea. What he discovers will leave you breathless!
Bob Cornuke is a biblical investigator who has made more than 20 expeditions around the world searching for lost locations described in the Bible. The other episodes in the Bible Explorer Series include Search for Noah's Ark, Search for the Ark of the Covenant, and Search for Mt. Sinai. Dove approved. Approx. 33 minutes.

Definitely worth the four dollar investment. Hosted by CBN war correspondent Chuck Holton on the Mediterranean island of Malta, it follows Bob Cornuke as he re-traces the Bible evidence concerning Paul's shipwreck, challenging the traditionally accepted site which does not match the biblical account. Interviews include the Malta Search & Rescue service, Dr. Graham Hutt who is a 30-year research expert on Mediterranean storms, and the local Maltese divers who recovered 4 anchors, perhaps the very same ones described in Acts 27:29, 40. According to the video the Maritime Museum acknowledges the anchors as being from the Roman era. Of course no one can say (or is saying) with absolute certainty that the recovered anchors are those of Paul's shipwreck, but the evidence seems to point strongly in that direction. In the end, I think it's pretty neat that a former police detective with a love for God's Word has made some fascinating discoveries based on clues he found in the Bible, making this 33-minute video all the more worth watching.

    Good conversation film

Film has very convincing arguments for the actual location as to where Paul's ship may have wrecked on his way to Rome. But not tangible proof. Like any "holy" site as designated by historians years ago, the now celebrated site is a tourist attraction and will unlikely to be changed even if there was proof. Good overall quality. Worth the money paid on sale.

I was delighted with the example this researcher provided in following the word of God instead of the ways of the people. My young boys have enjoyed this just as much as me. It is not action packed like Drive Thru History, but does present an interesting perspective and information that is not readily considered when people search for this shipwreck. Scenery is nice too. I recommend.
