Eric Nash is a high powered attorney who has been laid off by his law firm, and has now returned to his home town of Hope Harbor, hoping to find a new direction for his life.
Disillusioned by the big city life Architect B.J. Stephens has re-locted to small sea-side town of Hope Harbor.
Eric and B.J. were made a great couple. They had great chemistry and they made a very believable couple. Their story was sweet and I really enjoyed watching them find their place both in Hope Harbor and with each other.
Luis was a wonderful character, that I really enjoyed getting to know, but I think for me the shinning star was character of Charley. He was wonderfully written as a intricate, but member of Hope Harbor society. He was warm and caring and most importantly he always seemed to know things that he shouldn't. I loved that I couldn't quite pin him down.
I do have to admit that there were a couple of places in the story that seemed to drag and I skimmed through them. And although this is not a genre that I normally read, but as far as contemporary romance goes this book was very good.
If this is your first book by this author, or if you are familiar with her work, I truly believe that you will not be disappointed with this book.
Crystal4 Stars Out Of 5A Story of Romance, Healing the Past, and Hope for the FutureJune 14, 2017CrystalQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0After being laid off from his job as a lawyer, Eric Nash returns home to visit his father, lick his wounds, and regroup. When he arrives in Hope Harbor, however, he finds that his dad has decided to pursue a long-time dream of owning a bed and breakfast inn, and the family home is in renovation. While Eric would prefer to focus solely on landing his next legal gig, he finds himself being distracted by BJ Stevens, the beautiful and talented architect hired to oversee the construction project. Although BJ is wary of men based on past failed romances, a friendship forms between them when they work together on sets for a local high school play and the formation of a service to help elderly citizens in Hope Harbor have a more productive life. Before long, the friendship deepens into something more and Eric has to decide what he desires more- a lucrative, fast-paced career in his dream job as an attorney at a big firm, or a slower-paced future built with BJ in his small hometown.
Sea Rose Lane was such an enjoyable read! Although the attraction between Eric and BJ was evident from the beginning, their romance followed a natural progression as their friendship deepened. Eric's tenderness toward BJ as she opened up about her painful past was so sweet and genuine, although it was a little annoying that Eric took so long to make his decision!

"I was provided a free copy of this book. All opinions are my own." That done, SEA ROSE LANE is the second book in Ms. Hannon's Hope Harbor series, but it easily stands alone but fans will want to read Hope Harbor, the first book in the series by the same name.
BJ was prickly at first and I didn't think I would like her, but she did soften up considerably as the story progressed. I like her heart toward the elderly and the down-trodden and how she wanted to give them hope.
The taco man was just something else. One can't help but love him.
Eric is floundering, losing a job (downsizing) that he'd planned on for the long haul. He comes home to find out his dad is turning the family home into a bed and breakfast and has taken cooking classes, and well, then there's the hot woman in charge of the project... He also had a heart for the hurting. I liked him considerably.
Fans of romance will devour this new one by Ms. Hannon. Don't miss Sea Rose Lane. It will touch your heart--in more than one way.
