This is a nice bible if your eye sight is good. The letters are pretty small an 8 point. The red letters can be a little difficult especially if you have older eyes. The black letters a little better but I would recommend a larger print for people with eye sight issues. The leather binding is a nice a deep red to me rather than a burgundy. The paper is thin not the quality they used to be when these bibles were first printed.

I love the bible itself but Im not sure the cover is real leather. Its extremely thin and hard. The cover looks cheap and not like real leather Ive ever seen.

    Print Issues

I really enjoy this old scofield study bible. I has original KJV text with original Scofield notes, unlike the new scofield reference bible. My only issue is with the print of the text itself. You would think a prestigious company like Oxford could align the text correctly. I paid $55 for this bible on sale, down from $87. Now you can buy them on sale for $38. I know why! The red letter text does not line up with the black letter text. Also, there is no space at all between red letter lines and black letter lines. The lines look like they are touching one another. It is very distracting. Oxford has lost its quality to the lure of quantity. I will not purchase another Oxford product.

I noticed a friend of mine at church wasn't carrying a Bible, so I bought him one for Christmas.
