Ever since I became aware of 'Zola Leavitt Presents' lonnngg ago I've been sold on the bible he used, The Schofield Reference or Study Bible. the notes & reference placements do not interfere or distract from the printed scriptural messages (i.e. adding to or breaking one's chain of thought etc) .
Sometimes later the red print ink print seemed to affect me negatively (I was a much younger man then with a younger man's concentration) and 'The Lord' reminded me that "...His sheep know His voice.... (cp Jn 10:1-5).
I've tried other versions including the famous Dake's Study Bible, but I still 'prefer' The Scofield Study Bible with no Red Ink & I've gone through several over the years (I'm in my 70's now & can still hear his Voice quite clearly whenever I read the scriptures cp.Heb.1:1-4).
Words in Red Ink might work better for some, again I prefer no red ink whenever possible (with or without red ink The Lord,s Word is still His Words! with the SAME POWER!)
Be Blessed, in Jesus" Name! :-)
PS. the 1/2 dozen or so KJV Scofield Bibles I used were of the best quality (including the introduction, indexes, etc)
This is really a great Bible. I gave it as a reward for the outstanding teacher in Sunday School for the 2015-2016 church year and it has great foot notes, maps and other outstanding helpful tips that I wish I could give one to everyone of my Sunday School teachers. Thank you so much CBD for your faithfulness in supplying a great variety of Bibles and commentaries for leaders, pastors and Sunday School teachers.
