I'm really disappointed with these. I bought them for a first grader (box says ages 3-7), but they are way too babyish for him. They are animal-themed, but calling them science readers is a stretch. Here's the entire book about puppies: Puppies love bones. Puppies love balls. Puppies love shoes. Puppies love sticks. Puppies love pillows. Puppies love kids. Puppies love puppies." For almost a dollar a book, I feel like I could do better at the dollar store. The box does not open easily and we basically had to tear it open, ensuring not only that we cannot return it, but also that we don't have a good way to store these. I might save these for my younger kids, but they are so flimsy that I can see little ones tearing them up easily.

My advice is that you don't waste your money on these.
