I decided to "splurge" and buy this for my son. I hadn't for my first son and thought maybe we had missed out. We hadn't. This is little more than a calendar and NOT worth $12 for sure. There is a blank calendar on each page with the days of the week on the right and some of the months written on the left. There are arrows around the edge to keep track of how many days you have done a math lesson. Save the money and make one with your child or buy one that appeals to them. Sending it back. Money is too tight right now to waste on this. The curriculum itself is very hands on and worthwhile for introducing "school time," (the material is not challenging) but the Morning Meeting book isn't a necessity.

I really like Saxon math and I'm using this for my 4 (almost 5) year old. We do several lessons a day, so I'm glad I didn't wait until Kindergarten for her to start. I love the way Saxon math builds on what was learned the day before. I love the manipulatives too!

This definitely not for any child who has been to preschool or has any understanding of calendars, dates, etc. It would probably be useful for a 3 or 4-year old, but not Kindergarten level. It is basically filling in a calendar with dates and colors. If your child already has a basic understanding of those things, it is a waste of money. Also, Saxon Kindergarten has been way to easy for my kindergartner. We are flying through the lessons (several a day) and will probably be to the 1st grade book by January.

It's basically shapes and the calendar, so to spend that amount of $$ was not my favorite thing to do, but since I got free shipping it wasn't too bad. It was worth it since I didn't have to make up my own calendar.
