ums5 Stars Out Of 5Just what my 6th grader who had fallen behind due to Covid neededFebruary 13, 2022umsQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I've used Saxon before with other kids, so knew that spiral review and small incremental lessons was just what my 6th grader needed. To do Saxon correctly, you don't skip any of the problems---because skipping them skips the all important spiral review. So every day, you do 6 or so problems focused on that day's lesson plus 30 problems of mixed practice. Then after every five lessons, there's a test (although the first test is after lesson ten). We usually do most of the work on a small hand held white board. We're more than half way done, and his math confidence and skills have gone way up.

Jen5 Stars Out Of 5SaxonJanuary 3, 2019JenSaxon is the way to go! Public school common core math has failed my 11 year old. We have used this math program for the past 5 months and my child has finally grasped math concepts he was struggling with before. Do yourself a favor and get Saxon math. You won't regret it!

UpEarly5 Stars Out Of 5Nice Math CurriculumJanuary 25, 2018UpEarlyQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5Our daughter started a homeschool hybrid program and we had to switch to Saxon from Math-U-See, which we LOVE. We had our doubts, but Saxon 7/6 has surpassed our expectations. The book explains the new concepts well and does an excellent job at spiraling older concepts to keep them fresh. We still LOVE Math-U-See, but we like this, too.
