I am enjoying teaching from this material. The spiral technique keeps them practicing and retaining all material learned. The lessons are complete on each subject matter without overloading my kids with unnecessary busy work.

The saxon curriculum is a very good curriculum, however the physical quality if these workbooks are very poor. The paper is so thin that I will be fortunate if my second child is able to inheret the student book, let alone my third child. This issue alone makes me question wether or not i will contunue with this curriculum in the future.

This math curriculum is great! It eases the student into the school year, and progressively gets more difficult and challenging. I personally love the mixture of math skills that it teaches, and the tons of math vocabulary that it introduces to the student. I will always recommend this to other moms!

It's a good math program but i think it's lacks providing an indepth instruction on some math concepts. For example, radius of a circle is briefly covered.

I like the lesson plans based on the fact that a new concept is introduced but each lesson incorporates the old concepts as well. In the real world they will have to be able to recognize math in all its forms and by having lessons with mixed practice concepts they will accomplish this. Very much on a Forth grade level as well.
