We went through the Algebra 1 set but for some reason I ordered this Algebra II set without the solutions manual. There is the answer key book but we need to see the solutions for when she gets one wrong and is stuck. It's pricy. Don't forget it.

I love math, and I love Saxon. But who's idea was it to put the test answers in the same book as the tests themselves?

The Algebra 1 book had the answers to the tests and lessons in the same book. Now, I hand my sons the answer booklet whenever I give them a test. Kind of silly. I feel the need to watch them take a test now, not because I don't trust them, but to remove that temptation for them.

Also, in the second review, Lesson B, it asks to find the area of the shaded region, but nothing is shaded! I had to work the problem to see what they were after. I hope there aren't too many other errors.

We used the dive Algebra 1 last year for my daughters 9th grade year. She loved it!! Using Algebra 2 for 10th grade has been a noghtmare. These books incorparate Geometry, hopefully giving the student a leg up on high school math, but without taking Geometry, she could not complete the assignments. Needless to say, we discontinued use of Algebra 2 and purchased Bob Jones Geometry. We will give the Saxon Algebra 2 a try for her 11th grade year of high school.

We had used Saxon throughout elementary and middle school then tried some other curriculum. We decided to come back to Saxon this year. With my earlier purchases the "Answer Key" included in the kit contained all the solutions for the problems. With this set, the solutions manual must be purchased separately, which I did not realize. Make sure you order the kit and the solutions manual!
