Q: CD differences what is the difference between a 'teacher' CD and a 'DIVE' CD?
Although both are in a digital whiteboard format, there are significant differences between "DIVE" and "Saxon Teacher". "DIVE" (Digital Interactive Video Educator) is an excellent tutorial, and uses different illustrations than those presented in the Saxon Textbook. It teaches the lesson concepts only and does not have solutions to the problem sets. "Saxon Teacher" contains the lesson instructions, practice problems and problem sets as they are presented in the Saxon Textbook, with some additional commentary. "Saxon Teacher" can also serve as a solutions manual for the practices, lessons and tests.
Q: Generally how long is each lesson with the Saxon math teacher? The dive cd lasts around 5 to 10 minutes per lesson - but I wasn't sure how much longer the saxon math teacher teaches per lesson. Thanks!
Each lesson takes approximately 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the number of topics addressed and the complexity of the lesson.
