Debra Clark5 Stars Out Of 5I loved Savannah's GiftNovember 22, 2012Debra ClarkQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5What a wonderful novella to start the Christmas season. I easily connected to this story since I live in Oregon and could identify with the weather and driving to start with. I also had broken off my engagement with my fiance'. This book, even though it was a novella kept me going, kept my emotions working and ended up the way I was hoping it would. Oh and by the way, my ex fiance' kept wooing me untill I said yes again! We have been married now for 27 years. Thanks Camille for such a wonderful story.
The Phantom ParagrapherTauranga, New ZealandAge: 18-24Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Second Chance at True LoveMarch 5, 2012The Phantom ParagrapherTauranga, New ZealandAge: 18-24Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5It's interesting the effects relationships can have on people , as when one wants a career and wants to keep on moving to the top whereas the other one is comfortable and wants to cruise along , one cares about status the other happiness . Reading this book to me brought up a few personal experiences as I have always been a bit like Savanna for my own reasons and I see my guy friend like Luke. I have always been a sucker for romance stories and true love , love that no matter what happens never dies even though you may be miles apart and have time apart , through the trials and tribulations , you still hold a candle for the other person.
In Savanna's gift , we meet Savanna who has travelled up to the Evergreen lodge to take Mylie - her four year-old goddaughter to spend christmas with her grandparents as Mylie's mum Natalie is staying behind as her father is ill. While at Evergreen lodge , Savanna runs into Luke - who is now the Resort manager. Four Years ago , Savanna and Luke were an item and Luke proposed to her and Savanna ran and posted the ring back with a letter. Both holding feelings of anger and regret , is their love still there ? As the nights pass , Savanna and Luke start talking but when Savanna is offered a dream job as a ICU nurse , will she take the dream job and leave Luke behind ? What is more important in this stage of life Luke or a dream job?

Savanna Holt only needs to deliver her best friend's little girl to her grandparents at Evergreen Ridge Resort, the ski resort Savanna once worked at. Sure it will bring back memories of the stupidest thing she ever did, but she'll be driving back down the mountain in just a few hours for her own Christmas celebration.
Until she sees Luke Nelson. Who knew he'd worked his way up from lift operator to resort manager? She can't blame him from turning away from her now as she did from him four years before. When a blizzard closes the road out of the ski resort, Savanna believes God has given her another chance at the love of her life, if only he'd see it. But what about when her dream job comes in between...again?
Savanna's Gift is a beautifully written novella about second chances. The ski resort is so real I feel I've spent time there, helping decorate the tree and entertaining the snowed-in skiers. I also loved the characters and found them well-drawn.
Michelle SuttonArizonaAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Heartwarming novelette!December 13, 2011Michelle SuttonArizonaAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I don't normally enjoy Christmas-themed stories because some tend to be a bit sappy. I don't get warm fuzzies from sentimental stories either. This story wasn't sappy at all, and it truly warmed my heart. For a shorter novel, I was impressed with how much depth the story had. I read it quickly, but not because I skimmed through content. There was too much good stuff to savor and digest. I loved the conflict between the characters and the fact that the author laid a good foundation for the story. She made their past issues convincing enough where I bought their reasoning. And those kisses. Whew! So if you like Christmas stories minus the sappy content and with a heavy dose of inspiring romance, you'll enjoy this one. I loved it!
