Ally O'Connor and her friends are intrigued by the new girl in town. Sarah seems to have everything a girl could want -including a thoroughbred horse that she loves to ride. But it soon becomes clear that her life isn't what it seems. Sarah's father is abusive, and Ally and her friends try several times to help. Hostilities in her home escalate, and Sarah's father loses control. Her house is set on fire and then the barn. Ally and the others rescue Sarah, but her horse is caught in the burning barn. Can the friends find a way to save him? Just when her life appears to be falling apart, Sarah learns the value of true friendship and the importance of trusting in God.
