Tell us a little about yourself. I'm a Christian, a self proclaimed Spirit filled Bapti-costal, who is a wife, a mom, and grandmother of 14. I went back to college later in life to major in Human Services, but ended up getting my degree from Life Christian University. (Florida) God ordered my steps from birth. After some failed marriages, God gave me my Godly husband. We trust God with His faithfulness. We believe Christians should share their testimonies more; to encourage, inspire and bring about salvation for the lost: especially for such a time as this.
What was your motivation behind this project? My husband and I went forth, by faith, to sell two houses in one year. We agreed our goal was to sell and move 1000 miles away. We felt this goal was God-inspired. We had ups, downs, doubts and trials. God helped us to hold fast to Him, and to our sanity. It seemed like we waited forever for the answered prayers and all the I's to be dotted and the T's to be crossed.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I pray people gain hope in Christ, and that their faith will not only be secured, but lifted to new levels. We all have times of waiting and impatience. My hope is that folks will be strengthened by my story and by the scriptures I share. I trust there is power in God's Word.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? Being my first published book, there were many areas of my life impacted. I thank God daily for letting me know that I am a writer. I was impacted by the realization that there are others like myself, who understand the insanity there can be in their own personal worlds. God gave me an appreciation for others who comprehend the scattered jumble: which is this book, thus, capacity for "insanity". Now that my name, testimonies, and thoughts are in print, I have to watch my walk with Christ even more carefully.(responsibly)
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Via Christian television, I heard Crystal Paine say, "If you like to write and find yourself writing about all the time, you may be a writer." It was the light bulb turning on moment for me. I love and am inspired by Joyce Meyer, Beth Moore, John Hagee, Billy Graham, John Gray and more....
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: God really is no respecter of persons. He really loves you and created you for a purpose. You may not have stumbled onto it yet, but hold on. Don't lose your cool or Christianity, in the waiting.
