In our hectic and pressured lives, most of us long for less stumbling around and more consistency and order. Still, we want to be flexible and responsive to the needs of our family, friends and coworkers. We resist and overly structured life. We want to live by grace, not legalism. We want proper focus, not more stress.
Dr. Jerry White writes: "I've realized that in order to live sensibly, I've developed, pursued, and practiced a set of rules that help me respond to life without having to figure out every situation anew as it arises. Each of them helps me order my life, giving my mind the freedom to think of deeper life issues."
