Product Description

Rosetta Stone's interactive, immersion-method course has helped thousands of students to easily master a new language. Vivid imagery, native voices, and real-life exercises foster speaking, understanding, reading and writing intuitively from the first exercise to the last, while speech recognition technology provides instant feedback and improved pronunciation. Grammar and spelling components build comprehensive skills, while real-life simulated conversations test fluency.

Rosetta Stone students progress independently at their own pace. Parents can choose whether to use a preloaded lesson plan or full-year curriculum track, create their own lessons, or use an alternate program to focus on specific skills such as listening & speaking or reading & writing. Students are tested periodically, automatically advancing as their scores improve through reviewing weaker areas. At the completion of a unit, students complete a "Milestone Activity" in which they must speak into the microphone and participate in a conversation. The built-in reporting tool gives parents the ability to view, print and export student results, including completed exercises, current lesson progress, scores, and time spent learning.

Reinforce your language skills anywhere, anytime with the audio companion; five audio activities per level correspond with the computer lessons and provide additional conversation practice. At home or on the go, you can redeem the time by improving your pronunciation, vocabulary, phrases, speaking & conversation skills. MP3 Files.

Rosetta Stone Spanish (Latin American) Levels 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 Homeschool Edition, Version 3, provides a foundation of key vocabulary and language skills, including directions, greetings, introductions, adjectives, time, emotion, works, interests, household items, animals, possessive pronouns, measurements, basic grammar, and more.

first of all, loading the software onto a computer running windows 10 was a chore. the cd just wanted to give error codes. had to reboot multiple times. it is a mess. make sure you have 4 or 5 hours just to get the program and all 5 language cd's loaded. then after you are using the program good luck on keeping it running. when you log out most times you must reboot your computer to get back in because it gives an error code. believe every bad review you read. because keeping this software running is a pain. shame on a brand name company for marketing such a flawed product. and by the way, the headset they send along for free fell apart right out of the box. as for learning Spanish I believe it is ok, but you need a tech support with you to keep the program running.

This is so frustrating. I will never purchase Rosetta Stone ever again. There are so many problems keeping it running. I now just have a grey screen. My husband and I have spent hours trying with tech support. No progress. I lost my child's work for this year. I won't have it for his end of year review.

I should've believed the poor reviews,...but had such confidence in the Rosetta Stone name I thought surely these complaints were the rare happenings in a vast sea of happy customers.

It took three days and 5 phone calls to Rosetta Stone customer service to get these disks loaded onto our laptop. I was hung up on twice, and twice promised a callback from a supervisor---neither promise fulfilled. This is absolutely the most frustrating software we have ever encountered, and I would recommend ANYTHING else but this! Rosetta Stone prides itself in their learning system---but they don't communicate well at all...

I bought all 5 levels. My son started in September w/ Level 1 Latin American Spanish (homeschool version). When we tried to open the program after Christmas break, I got an error and it wouldn't open. Tried the chat support and a phone call. The program would open, but all the progress was lost. I was told it was still there by one support person, and that it was lost by two other support people. I'm still working with them on this problem, but so disappointed that only half-way through a semester and so many technical problems. Another issue is there is little help with the supplemental worksheets. They are confusing even with the English directions. There needs to be a teacher manual to help guide the students.

      So disappointed

We have had a similar experience to dylan. While the content is great, the technical issues are beyond frustrating. Couple that with a polite, but unhelpful customer service, and you can imagine how disappointing it is to have invested a good chunk of money in this program.

I have been on the phone with Rosetta Stone customer service five times now since January because even though my son scores a 100% and has completed every activity, it will not allow him to move forward.

I had high hopes for Rosetta Stone, but after the "free" customer service telling me they could no longer help us, and the fee for calling the "tier 1" customer service being $19.99 a pop, I'm burnt. We also attempted the "Live Chat" free option, but found that even less helpful than the free customer service, and it took twice as long. I started to get discouraged when they were consistently asking if I had rebooted the program and then asking if I restarted my computer. Those are pretty basic. We are using a laptop that's under a year old with no other issues.

The last two calls made, they told me there is a version 4 available, but that it was not available in the homeschool version, and both implied that since I purchased this in August, it was "outdated". What? I purchase something for a school year, and a year is not even over, and it's outdated?

Quite frankly, I feel robbed. This was intended for another son to use the following year. What a let down. I'm presently looking for something as a replacement for Year 2 Spanish.
