Love the latest from Colleen Coble!

I'm a huge fan of Colleen Coble's romantic suspense novels, and Rosemary Cottage did not disappoint! I liked Amy and Curtis right away—even if they didn't like each other! Both of them were struggling to deal with the deaths of their siblings, which added a deeper dimension to both of them. There was so much chemistry between the two of them as well. It seemed that every time they talked, they alternated between intense attraction and heated arguments. Of course, their fierce loyalty to their respective siblings didn't help in the midst of those arguments!

My enjoyment of the novel was probably enhanced a little as I read about half of it during a power outage due to a thunderstorm. Nothing makes a suspense novel more suspenseful than reading it in a dark room, by flashlight, with a storm raging outside. Feel free to re-create this scenario when you read Rosemary Cottage! :)

If you enjoy suspense novels, you are sure to love Rosemary Cottage! I highly recommend! [4.5 stars]

I received a free copy of this book from Thomas Nelson and Litfuse Publicity in exchange for my fair and honest review.

Colleen Coble in her new book "Rosemary Cottage" Book Two in the Hope Beach series published by Thomas Nelson takes us into the life of Amy Lange.

From the back cover: Amy came to Rosemary Cottage to grieve, to heal, maybe even find love. But there's a deadly undertow of secrets around Hope Island . . .

The charming Rosemary Cottage on the beach offers Amy Lange respite she needs to mourn her brother, Ben. She's even thinking of moving her midwife practice to the Outer Banks community. It's always been a refuge for her and her family. She also wants to investigate Ben's disappearance at sea. Everyone blames a surfing accident, but Amy has reason to wonder.

Coast Guard officer Curtis Ireland has lost a sibling too. His sister, Gina, was run down by a boat, leaving him to raise her infant daughter. If anyone knew who little Raine's father was, Curtis could lose his beloved niece. Yet he can't help being drawn to Hope Beach's new midwife, Amy. He even agrees to help her investigate what happened to both Ben and Gina.

Can two grieving people with secrets find healing on beautiful Hope Island? Or will their quest for truth set them at odds with each other...and with those who will go to any length to keep hidden things hidden?

"Rosemary Cottage" is a thriller in that characters lives are in danger practically from the first page. Curtis' sister may have been murdered while Amy's brother may have been murdered as well. Curtis is now looking after his niece which is how he meets Amy. While these two are searching for their answers regarding their siblings romance begins. One step leads to another and for the romance to really take hold their secrets are going to have to be revealed and dealt with. Ms. Coble knows how to write characters that come alive off the page. This is a fast-paced read that will keep you guessing as to what is really going on. I recommend this book highly!

    Rosemary Cottage by Colleen Coble

Colleen Coble has Book 2 of her Hope Beach Series available now for readers. Rosemary Cottage takes place near the Outer Banks, NC and centers around Amy Lange a mid-wife who has come back to Hope Beach to investigate her brother's death. Curtis Ireland is an officer with the Coast Guard who has just lost his sister. He has been left to raise his niece Raine. When Curtis and Amy learn that the two deaths are possibly connected, they begin to piece the clues together to find out the truth. Hope Beach used to be a safe place for Amy, but now it seems like everyone has a secret. Amy has never had to lock her doors, but when a car bomb is found on Curtis's car and evidence shows that someone has been in her home, she doesn't know who to trust. And could Raine really be her niece? Amy thought she knew her brother well, but she is discovering even her brother had secrets.

Although I had read other books by Colleen Coble, including Book 1 in this series, I didn't really care for this one. The writing seemed choppy and the story line didn't really flow for me. I didn't think it had enough of a Christian background to it either. I liked the mid-wife parts, but there were almost too many characters that it was hard for me to keep them straight as to who was who, especially at the beginning. Some of the characters from Book 1 of the series were in this story which was okay, but it really wasn't a story I would ever read again. Thomas Nelson publishers were kind enough to send me a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Rosemary Cottage is the second novel in the Hope Beach series by Colleen Coble. You are introduced to Amy Lange, who has returned to the island, hoping to discover some clues in her brother, Ben's death. She can't accept that a surfing accident alone was the cause. She has received an e-mail that brought out all kinds of questions in her mind.

Amy soon finds out that her brother had led a life she knew nothing about, including a dead girlfriend and a child left behind. Curtis, a coast guard officer, has been caring for Raine ever since his sister, Gina's death. He has been hesitant to inform Ben's family about Raine's existence. But with Amy's return to the island, he knew his secret would need to be revealed. When Amy finally meets her niece, she is instantly drawn in. Amy is content for Curtis to retain custody; however, when her parents learn the truth, they immediately want custody of the child.

After testing shows that Ben is not Raine's father, more secrets are revealed about both Ben's and Gina's deaths. Amy and Curtis start working together to find the truth. Hold on for the shocking conclusion to Rosemary Cottage!
