TommyWinnipeg, MBAge: 18-24Gender: male4 Stars Out Of 5Great novelMay 10, 2016TommyWinnipeg, MBAge: 18-24Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5Its amazing how James keeps you on the edge of your seat for the entire novel. I couldnt put it down, and kept flipping pages into the late hours of the night.
Its such an interesting mystery, but we see the personal struggles of Special Agent Patrick Bowers, and other characters throughout the novel.
A lot of truth is spoken in this book, to go along with a lot of big questions being asked by the characters. It might make you think about some questions in your own life.
Mature themes are discussed, so I might recommend you don't read this before you're a teenager.
All around, The Rook was engaging, intriguing, and exciting. James put a lot of work into this novel, and if youre a fan of suspense, thriller, or mystery novels; this one is for you.

I have read all but one other book in this series, and hope there is at least one more to come.

Lynn LaBrancheWindsor, ON, CanadaAge: Over 65Gender: female1 Stars Out Of 5July 20, 2009Lynn LaBrancheWindsor, ON, CanadaAge: Over 65Gender: femaleThe is NOT a Christian book although it is a good mystery and thriller. It should be kept in a regular public library, not a church library. Only 4 references are made to God throughout the 488 pages: "Thank God I'd Been Wrong", Lien-Hua prayed, cried out to the God she wasn't sure was there", "Thank God She was Alive" and "a one word prayer, Please, Please" Certainly not enough for my library!
