Tiffany S5 Stars Out Of 5A balm to my soulSeptember 27, 2019Tiffany SQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Risen Motherhood has been a balm to my soul. It began with the podcast and now a book I can hold in my hands and refer back to when I need the "refreshing truth of the gospel" time and time again. There are so many voices in this world (and in our own hearts) that say we have to live this way and not that but Jesus says, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." And that is what Emily and Laura are reminding us of. We are to put our hope in our Redeemer and stop believing the lies of the world, the flesh, and the devil who tell us to put our hope in fleeting things like relationships, service, body image, food choices, traditions, self-care, schooling choices, etc. All of those things can be/are good gifts from God but we twist them and make them idols.
Court5 Stars Out Of 5Great godly wisdom!September 23, 2019CourtSuch a great book! Laura and Emily walk through everyday motherhood topics and show you how to apply the gospel to all of them (and show you how to address topics not in the book)! So much hope and godly wisdom provided. I will be going back to this book over and over as I continue to navigate through motherhood!
