A wonderful ending to the series full of earthquakes, hidden treasure, romance, thieves, archeology, and faith. Annie Lane and Cord Westbrook along with some of the men from Two Harts Ranch go on a final treasure hunt to finish the last half of the map. What they find is truly amazing! There is plenty of action, earthquakes, humor, romance, faith, and mystery in this story. If you like westerns and history then this one is for you.

Riches Beyond Treasure is the perfect read for all of us who grew up watching TV westerns! Set in 1875 at Two Hearts Ranch in California, it begins with a terrifying earthquake, progresses to the discovery that priceless treasure has been stolen, and continues with the desperate search to recover it. Author Mary Connealy shares a nail-biting adventure with unforgettable characters, sweet romance, her trademark humor, and a wonderful faith element. As Cord and Annie search for physical treasure, they are also reminded that the greatest treasures are family, faith, and their spiritual relationship with God! Cord knows his feelings for the widowed Annie, but can she risk more pain and heartache?

I love this engaging story and the satisfying epilogue that provides updates on the Hart, MacKenzie, and Westbrook families. The hunt for the MacKenzie treasure reaches a fulfilling conclusion and these amazing characters realize that "true riches come from God alone."

Mary Connealy excels in writing romantic comedies set in the cowboy era. I recommend Riches Beyond Measure to all who enjoy historical Christian fiction!

Everyone loves a great treasure hunt, don't they? It makes for an exciting read as there are always those who want to steal it . You never know who you can trust. When earthquakes hit and explose some of their treasured artifacts are missing, the Hart family realizes more is afoot. Yet they're determined to go and follow the next part of the treasure map and see what is there for them to find. They are not disappointed as clues point to things long buried but they also come to realize that real treasure comes from having those you love around you and not from physical things.

Lots of loose ends were tied up bringing the series to a satisfying conclusion. I hope these families will show up in the next series. I enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Thank you to Bethany House for providing me with a free e-copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

*I dont think theres a thing wrong with you, Cord. But Im afraid. I barely survived losing Todd. I fear my heart has hardened a bit. When I look at you and . . . feel something, its a pain I cant bear. Please dont let that hurt you. Its my own broken heart that wont let anyone else in.*

A fantastic conclusion to the MacKenzie treasure hunt! A story full of family, adventure, danger, faith, suspense, and love. I enjoyed being back at the Two Harts ranch and seeing all the family from the previous books. I loved the ways the story reminded me that lifes greatest treasures are far more valuable than any earthly riches.

Annie is intelligent, hardworking, a devoted mother, and caring teacher. Cord is caring, protective, and determined to learn all he can about ranching and to help in the treasure hunt. I loved how their friendship blossomed into love, and the strength Annie had to open her heart again was amazing. Cords gentleness with little Caroline was delightful. I enjoyed seeing the young MacKenzie men and their growth. The treasure hunt was so interesting, full of danger, and twists. I really enjoyed learning a bit about the conquistadors.

Note: This is book 3 in the series and while it can be read as a stand alone, I highly recommend reading the whole series to better understand all that is taking place.

Early in the book the reader is shaken by the trembling terror of the California area, an earth opening, ground breaking earthquake with multi after quakes. A chuck wagon (i.e. the food wagon) is swallowed by a gaping split in the earth, and the story of good folks in the early days of the American frontier continues to unfold with a race for cover.

As the conclusion, this third book takes the reader farther along the trail seeking to find lost Spanish treasure that has been the thread throughout the series. In this book, the family and cow hands we've met previously continue their jaunt through the pages giving insight into life on the frontier, good folks, good family, desperadoes, and workers of deceit. It also takes the broken hearted widow and melds her heart with the grandson of a California banker who really wants to have his own ranch.

Mary Connealy's writing style continues to please and bring enjoyment. Her stories have light hearted overtones and yet bring excitement with the clash of good and evil. The stories are always clean, faith based but not preachy. Good lessons are learned. Pleasant times of reading are gleaned from encountering a Connealy story.

    I totally enjoyed this book.
