MichaelIndian Trail, NCAge: 55-65Gender: Male5 Stars Out Of 5The Coming Revolution In Church EconomicsNovember 3, 2019MichaelIndian Trail, NCAge: 55-65Gender: MaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5"The Coming Revolution In Church Economics" is a great and timely read on the realities of church economics. In a day and age where membership, attendance, and offerings at churches are declining, churches must learn to adjust or close down shop.
Around 240 pages, the author covers many topics on the subject, including:
1. Personal experiences.
2. Cultural changes that impact church giving.
3. Practical suggestions (creating multiple streams of income, using church assets for God's glory, etc.).
Many other topics are covered. The book is well-written, practical, prophetic, encouraging, and smoothly flows from chapter to chapter. Very timely read and recommended.
I was given a review copy by Baker Books in exchange for a fair review and appreciate the opportunity. -
Jolene4 Stars Out Of 5An interesting take on church economics.December 8, 2019JoleneQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4I suspect the target audience for The Coming Revolution in Church Economics by Mark DeYmas and Harry Li consists of pastors, elders, and those in financial leadership of a church. I am none of those. While someone with a more vested interest in the topic might find the book more engaging, I understood what the authors were saying. I thought the authors did an excellent job of explaining their positions on the statements they made. They addressed common assumptions/arguments made against what they propose. Overall, it's a thought-provoking read about church economics.
Disclosure of Material Connection: I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher. All opinions in this review are my own.
