Wished I had this information when I became an adult. As awesome as the other sex is, they sure think differently from us. Had many ah hah moments when I got the explanations for the responses that I have gotten over the years. Of course I had to sneak a peek at "For Women Only" . Glad I did. Completes the puzzle in a way. Authors did great research and authoring of book(s)

After reading this once, I felt it needed to be read again. A few of the truths take a while to believe and get your heart around. It helped me understand "WHY" my wife responds the way she does. It showed me that my perception is really part of the problem............I have been reading her wrong. As a pastor, I have chosen to teach through this book in our mens' group. Several of our men are taking the class and are studying through this book. The men are enjoying it and we are looking forward to finishing it together. Also, I have already recomended it to some friends and some other pastors for counseling their couples.

After 18 years of marriage, my husband and I had what I thought was the "last" crisis. Our pastor gave "For Men Only" to my husband and "For Women Only" to me. After reading it through the first time (he's now reading it the fourth time), my 60-year-old, macho, not-gonna-get-me-to-a-counselor husband sat me down to talk about what he had learned from this book. With tears in his eyes, he said, "I didn't know; I just didn't know; I had no idea about all this stuff; the author must have been following you around because he was writing about you. You're just the way he says in the book." This book has worked a miracle in my husband and in our marriage. We have actually started communicating with each other. My husband and I both HIGHLY recommend "For Men Only" and "For Women Only". It is the best investment one could make in a relationship. These books are great not just for couples, but for anyone wanting to learn about the opposite sex.

I have now read both For Men Only and For Women Only and can't recommend both of these books enough. After 15 years of marriage I read this book and had so many moments of "Ah ha!" it was amazing. The book really does an excellent job of showing that we were put on this earth by God to be together, compliment, support, encourage and lift each other up. It shows that even though we have differences in how we love, communicate, think, and feel, it is okay and we can learn to use these differences in support of our relationship instead of having them fight against our relationship. I read the For Women Only book as well and when I finished it I handed it to my wife and told here the book is the road map to my mind. I highly recommend both books for both members of a couple.

A great book that helped me to see a side of women I never truly gave thought to. I am 22 and this book really brings to light how women are effected by the things men do and what we can do to encourage them, build them up, and fight along side them in a world that treats them as objects for their desire.
