Publisher's Description

The book of Revelation, like no other text, offers the Christian a cosmic perspective on the implications of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Its author offers readers a look into a new world where the enemies of Christ's followers are punished, and the people of God are given their rightful place in a world of blessedness and joy. This commentary will take your study of Revelation deeper than any other interpretation you've encountered. An excellent resource for personal study, and especially helpful for those involved in the teaching ministries of the church, the Wesley Bible Commentary series will encourage and promote life change in believers by applying God's authoritative truth in relevant, practical ways. Written in an easy-to-follow format, you will enjoy studying Scripture insights that are faithful to the Wesleyan-Armenian perspective.

This review was written for Revelation: A Commentary for Bible Students.
I was anticipating reading this book so much that it came as quite a disappointment that liberal doctrine such a focus of this book. When the Dr Eckley said that the four horseman had already been loosed on the earth and one of them was multi-national corporations disregard of the poor and humanity and another was the ongoing destruction of the ecology I almost had to stop reading. I was looking for a concise guide to the book of Revelations, not a liberal manifesto. It was a great disappointment. Possibly it was my fault for not looking into Wesleyan theology before I purchased the book.

Not since the revival at Sullivan's Trailer has such a concise understanding of the book of Revelation been delivered. Open a bag of potato chips (make sure they are not rotten), sit back, and enjoy.
