Tell us a little about yourself. After 11 years in the U.S. Navy, I spent six years in Seminary earning a BA in biblical studies and an MA in Christian Studies. I was blessed during this time to be associated with a bible believing church that fostered true growth in Christ.
What was your motivation behind this project? I was very moved to note time after time that when fellow Christians were confronted by unbelievers, they tended to retreat and back away in the mistaken belief that any confrontation is "unbiblical". But I knew that we were given the light of Christ and that darkness cannot advance unless light retreats.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? It is my firm hope that Christians will be encouraged to stand in love for their faith in the face of relentless adversity to all things Christian. I long for the day when Christians unite in their faith and do not hesitate to share their faith whenever they are confronted with biblical error.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? During the writing process, I was amazed in my research to discover the plethora of biblical encouragement God has provided every Christian. I cam to see that God has indeed prepared us for this day and this time.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I was strongly influenced by the my early Catholic training and also the Baptist resurgence. Paige Patterson, former president of the Southern Baptist Convention as well as other leaders have strongly influenced my decision to write the modern day Christian Manifesto.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: Darkness cannot overtake light. It's impossible. Darkness can only advance as light retreats. it is my deep desire to encourage every Christian to stand on their faith and shine the light of Christ in a world sorely in need of the salvation that only Christ offers.
