Danielle writes about her journey into restored purity with refreshing honesty. This book is an inspiring devotional that uses scriptures and prayers, combined with Danielle's testimony, to lead the reader to inner healing and a closer relationship with God. It also explains to young people why it is so important to guard their pureness. I recommend this book and think it would be extremely beneficial to anyone involved with youth and healing ministries.

I have been in ministry for 25 years and the moment I picked up this book until I put it down I was impressed by the openness of the writer to unveil the lies of the enemy and bring truth and healing to the reader from God's word and life experience. I highly recommend this to anyone searching for answers. The writer beautifully takes you on her journey and then so compassionately takes you through prayers of healing. A must have tool for healing for those in ministry as well.

Author/Artist Review

Tell us a little about yourself.  I'm an unexpected entrepreneur. After working for 13 years in the energy business I was laid off and so with God in charge, I dove into making natural beauty products, writing and blogging. I founded Virtuous Woman Ministries as my platform to encourage woman through my writing, speaking and teaching. Mostly I'm a wife and mother who loves to cook from scratch, talk walks in the woods and watch football or NASCAR on Sunday afternoons.

What was your motivation behind this project?  In early 2010 I had a dream. I was sitting in front of a fireplace talking to the teen girls from our church. I could see each of them clearly and I clearly heard myself talking to them about my experience of having sex before I was married and basically baring my soul to them. It was the first time I had a dream that real and I knew it was God. So when I approached our pastor she told me there was a youth retreat in the works and this would fit right in with the theme for the girls. I shared my story, tucked the notes in my bible and there they stayed until 2012. At that time one of the moms shared with me how much my story impacted her daughter. It was then that I felt I was to write out the story for others. I want women of all ages to be free from pain and shame they are carrying around with them.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  I think there are women of all ages who have made choices that have negatively impacted them and need healing. My prayer is that this book reaches women of any age who need to find healing. I also think young women in particular need to understand the effects of their action before they make poor choices so I hope to reach them too.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  It’s funny, I can stand at the front of a church, or write to countless people about my life and not at all be ashamed but I have a hard time talking to people I am the closest to sometimes. For me, I’m not sharing for my glory or to say “look at me, look what I’ve been through” I’m sharing for His glory and so others struggling with the things I’ve been through can find true healing form Christ. I’ve learned that I need to talk about me not for my own glory but for what God has done in me. The old cliché is true – my mess is His message. Someone may hear my story and finally find freedom an in order to do that I have to put myself out there and talk about “me.”

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  Shanti Feldhahn and Shannon Ethridge were pivotal authors in my life that helped me walk through my healing journey. Their books are amazing. I've had a chance to speak with Shannon Ethridge and she is as gracious to talk to as she is in her books. She's an amazing woman.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  I've also co-authored two books, The Veggie Book - How to Pick, Prepare and Plate as well as Set Apart: Becoming a Woman of Virtue in a Modern World. You can follow me on my blog More Than Four Walls (mtfw.net) and there you'll find my social media links.
