Carol3 Stars Out Of 5Too male-orientedDecember 30, 2019CarolQuality: 3Value: 5Meets Expectations: 2This review was written for Love & Respect Workbook: For Couples, Individuals or Groups. It may just be where I'm at but my husband and I have tried to get through this book and workbook because they came highly recommended, but I find the author's views too male-oriented and not totally accurate to how women think/feel. He repeatedly says the woman should be the one to initiate respecting the husband, then he will reciprocate with the demonstration of love in return. I disagree on two fronts - any healthy minded woman will respond with love, respect and even submission to her husband, when her fundamental needs are met. Her needs are best determined by her love language. Not every woman craves demonstration of love above all else. A couple cannot assume love for the woman and respect for the man will fix all their communication challenges.
