I hoped Relentless would be a powerful study similar to The Bait of Satan but I am very disappointed. I am half way through the Relentless curriculum in a study at my church and I am regretting that I ever started it. The thing I dislike the most is John's constant use of the amplified Bible or the New Living Translation I personally do not like using these translations for a serious Bible study. He also constantly adds words to the scripture verses he quotes in the study guide. He does place parenthesis around the words he adds but it makes reading the scripture verses difficult. I am offended by the addition of John's words or anyone's words for that matter to scripture so I try to read around them. I do not plan on using any of John's studies again. I would highly recommend a careful preview of this study before you use it at your church.
