Publisher's Description

Philadelphia was once a city that embraced the spirit of love, but as crime and poverty infiltrated the populace, it steadily became a city that is today filled with desolation and hate. Under a mandate from heaven to rebuild Philadelphia's fatherless, underprivileged society, author Maurine McFarlane eagerly holds up the arms of existing ministries in Philadelphia while initiating fresh biblical directives to rebuild and restore. In this gripping book, you will learn about the city's heritage, the societal dynamics which have adversely affected it, and the actions necessary to bring about change. Release the Prophetic Destiny in Philadelphia is a spiritually authoritative book for those who are hungry to help, eager to pray, and carry a fire in their soul to win the battle for righteousness in their neighborhood, community, and home. This book is for every person who has a deep desire to see Philadelphia truly restored to its original destiny, "The City of Brotherly Love."

Author/Artist Review

Author: Maurine McFarlane

Tell us a little about yourself.  Maurine McFarlane, Intercessor, Humanitarian and Community Activist governs her life by the Lord’s Commission to us, “Feed MY sheep” (John 21:17). Jesus has some extraordinarily peculiar sheep: some that are unkempt and dirty, some that are awkward or pushy, and some that have gone astray! But it is impossible to exhaust God’s love or Maurine’s love. Maurine is qualified in the areas of investment development, marketing, and fundraising. Maurine was involved in the formulation of financing for several large-scale projects and has served in a management capacity in both the restaurant and hotel businesses. Maurine is also a principal for Lighthouse Covenant International, an emerging faith-based, Christ-centered, humanitarian organization that excels in the belief that we can advance human dignity, build civil societies, and transform our world to be a better place. Maurine attended Temple University’s School of Business Administration in Marketing and currently studies at the Jameson School of Ministry and Theology. Maurine enjoys volunteering her time with children, the New Covenant Church of Philadelphia Prison Ministry and her own Hospitality Ministry. She resides in Philadelphia, PA, and is the mother of two children, Blake and Crystal.

What was your motivation behind this project?  The Lord gave me a revelation about Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love, and instructed me to share it with the rest of the world. The problems of Philadelphia is the same problems facing many cities in this country.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  The instructions, the confidence and the abilities to do what is necessary to make a difference in there community or city. We are all called to do something greater then ourselves.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  I realize I can do anything if I believe. The reason why so many people are afraid to participate in the change of there city or town, is because they don't know how to begin nor do the believe they can do it. A single person can make a difference; Jesus always start with one person.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  I have so many, but my favorites authors are Dr. Myles Munroe. Bishop Noel Jones, Jonetta Rose Barras, Dutch Sheets and Chuck D. Pierce, and my own Bishop C. Milton Grannum.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  This book is written for Philadelphia, but the solutions to take back our city can be duplicated in any city in this country. If you are a person who cares about making a difference in your community or city using God instructions, this is the book for you. GET YOUR COPY, BETTER YET, GET A FEW COPIES AND GIVE THEM TO FRIENDS AND FAMILIES.
