Thomas Poche5 Stars Out Of 5September 5, 2010Thomas PocheWe are parents to 8 wonderful children by adoption and birth. This was just the bible study we were looking for! Some of our children come from hard places and this bible study is a great way to educate them more about Godly Relationships. We are very pleased with this bible study for our teens. It also opens up more doors of communication with them and us to discuss what they learned from each lesson.

Tell us a little about yourself. I love God's Word but, unfortunately, did not begin studying it until I was in my 30s. Beginning with a Beth Moore Bible study, I couldn't put God's Word down. Learning so much about God, His Son, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit changed my life. I so wanted our children, at an early age, to know Him so I began writing studies for them, never dreaming that I would one day have the honor of writing curriculum for publication.
What was your motivation behind this project? I began writing the studies for our children. We homeschooled, and the studies were used for Bible curriculum. As more studies were needed, I wrote them.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? It is my prayer that children and parents/teachers are blessed through this curriculum. I hope that children learn that God loves them, and that His desire is that they know Him and follow His Word so that He might reveal Himself more and more to them.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I love studying God's Word! Jesus is the Word. Apart from Him, we can do nothing. Therefore, we must stay connected to Him moment by moment. Every time I write a new study, I grow in the knowledge of Him. Believe me, I still have a lot of spiritual maturing to do, and as I continue in His Word, a little bit more of that maturing comes to fruition.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Beth Moore has really influenced my life. It was her study, "A Woman's Heart, God's Dwelling Place," that first got me into the Word some 13 years ago. My mother has and continues to be a huge influence in my life. She loves the Lord and is probably the most selfless person I have ever known.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I'm not perfect, and, believe me, I am still a work in progress, but my heart is to know and to obey the Lord. As long as there is breath within me, I will continue to write, praying that He will give me wisdom to represent Him as He truly is.
