Tell us a little about yourself. I was born in Piraeus Greece and now live in East Northport, NY. The first book I wrote and illustrated is the book Rejoice about the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ. My other books are, The Amazing Life of Jesus Christ, about the three years of His ministry, The Virgin Mary Mother of God, about the life of the Virgin Mary the Theotokos, and Christ Is Risen, about the Passion and the Resurrection of our Lord. I am presently working on writing and illustrating other Christian picture books, all with luminous watercolors and selected Scriptures. I am also working on commissions for hand painted icons on wood with acrylics. Painting holy icons, is the greatest joy and a gift from God. I love reading, painting and singing with my grandchildren. Glory to God for all things.
What was your motivation behind this project? I was motivated to write and illustrate the book REJOICE with icons and Scriptures to make it easy for all the little children and for my grandchildren to understand and learn the story of Christs birth.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope that book REJOICE about the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ will bring to the reader great joy and peace of heart. The luminous iconographic illustrations accompanied by the Holy Scriptures offer moments of the Holy Night with angels and shepherds, and children and carols and Jesus Christ, hope and peace to all.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? Appropriate for Christian education and for all ages.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Glory to God for all things.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: "Thank you for writing such a beautiful book about the story of Christmas. My children enjoy hearing it over and over. They truly have learned the story of Christ's birth." -Leoni DiAndrea
