Grieved by the death of a child during a convenience store robbery, football superstar Reggie Knox retires at the top of his game---and joins God's "front lines" coaching at an inner-city school. Can he make a difference? Features hall-of-famer Reggie White in the starring role---plus appearances by NFL stars including Rosey Grier and Mike Holmgren. Dove approved. 94 minutes.
Seemed to start out ok, kind of gets 'lost'; went from an A- to a C+. Son likes football and thought the story would be a good one, it was. Nice touch to have a few names (Brett Favre) in there but they couldn't really bring the movie up to being 'good!'. Good message though and younger kids (our 12 yr old) enjoyed it more than us, although it may be a bit intense in some spots for some younger viewers.
i don't like to be unkind but this movie was truly awful. Poor acting, a confusing plot with unbelievable stereotyping. I suppose there was a good message in this but it was overshadowed by the poor quality of the film. The opening scene of a limping man was never explained at all. Not worth the money.
