Product Description

Author Brian Hardin admits that, for many years, he didn't enjoy a dynamic, life-giving friendship with God. He realized that most of the things he knew about God, somebody had told him. Hardin accepted the challenge to become intimately connected to God, and it changed him forever.

Now his book Reframe challenges you to reframe yourself, God, and the relationship that connects you--and, from there, to embrace irreversible spiritual change. You are created in God's image; you have His DNA embedded into your very core. The world and your life are engineered so that they will not work without Him. Come and be ruined for anything else but a life-giving connection to the almighty God.

Publisher's Description

Accomplished recording producer Brian Hardin experienced a mediocre Christian faith until one day, he purposed to read the Bible daily. His resolve led to the start of the Daily Audio Bible, which after eight years has had more than 55 million downloads and feeds hundreds of thousands of listeners each day.

In the process of reading the Bible to his growing audience every day without fail, he has made a true, real friend in Jesus. Not a “Hey God, I know You’re up there somewhere” type of relationship, but one that contains the emotions, dialogue, and intimate moments that we long for from our closest of comrades. Brian found it necessary to entirely reframe his perception of God into a relationship as real as any experienced here on earth.

Reframe challenges you to change your paradigm about your relationship and connection with God, because in truth, you are engineered so that life will not work without Him. Reframe invites you to reconsider life and what it might look like if you were ruined for anything else but a life-giving connection to the almighty God.

We need to rethink what we know about GOD and how we relate to Him, then you can reframe the relationship and restart your story... this is what this book is all about... restart your story to reframe your life to be shared with you and GOD together everyday.

Accepting to read this book will begin with you starting to rethink about life and how you want to share with GOD. This book is easy to read and gives you steps for thinking about past experiences to incorporate into your way of thinking today and changing your attitude to be more like GOD. Next step is to start with prayer and gives great detailed ways to accomplish praying that will provide nourishment to reframe your mind. Third step to reframe is change, no one likes change, however to get your mind set on GOD you will need to change the way you do things and restart new ways. In order to reframe you will need to restart and invite GOD to be with you in everything you do and say from this minute to the very end...... this book will teach you how to do this.

I would recommend this book to any age, it is for those that want to experience GOD in their daily life. It is an easy and very entertaining read. Anyone will be able to pick it up, start reading and start immediately reframe to have GOD be with you everyday. Brian does a great job of telling his experience as an easy to relate to everyday situations.

Knowing about God is not the same as being intimately connected with God. Hardin challenges us to rethink what we know about God and how we relate to Him. It's a great book.

Hardin helps us understand what a relationship with God isn't, what we might need to give up, and what it could be the missing puzzle pieces that complete our lives.

We believe God exists, that He loves us and wants a relationship with us. We believe we should likewise want a relationship with Him. But who is this God and how do we discover Him in a personal way?

I really appreciate Hardin's honesty about the difficult aspects of a relationship with God. One area is our confusion regarding God's role in our lives. We may feel He has let us down. That's hard to get over.

I was surprised at Hardin writing that we must feed our starving soul from the inside out. The relationship must be cultivated from within. He suggests we invite God into every thought, word and deed in our lives. God is woven into the very fabric of who we are as believers.

I am very impressed with this book. It really spoke to me and my desire to have a vital connection with God. I was relieved to find out that reading the Bible isn't enough. That will increase our knowledge of God but developing an intimate relationship is something that must come from the inside of us.

I highly recommend this book. It is life transforming. Having an intimate connection with God and how that comes about finally made sense to me.

Food for thought from Hardin: I want to be ruined for anything less than a life-giving connection to God. Don't you?

I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the publisher for the purpose of an independent and honest review.

Reframe by Brian Hardin came at just the right time. My friends and I have been discussing more and more lately what is means to have a relationship with God and not just know about him.

Hardin takes a hard subject and simplifies it. I likes how Hardin compared our relationship with God to that of a marriage. He also mentioned that some of us can treat God like "a drunk rich uncle."

Reframe got my brain thinking and contemplating all sorts of things. I was grateful for Hardin's transparency when it can to his own personal walk and struggles in his walk with God. Especially about the part about what happened after his wife gave birth. There was just something so very familiar about Reframe.

But most of all the best part of this book was the encouragement to get back to scripture. Basically if you want a relationship with God you need to be in His word and with Him in prayer. There is no close second. If you want a relationship with someone, be with that person. Such simple and straightforward advice. So much truth there.

I think, overall, this is a good book. Reframe could be used everywhere from young adults to older generations. Its a good and simple read. There is no reason why it couldn't be used even in a small group setting as well.

I received this book from Nav Press in exchange for my honest review

Brian Hardin had experienced what he considered to be a mediocre Christian life until one day, he purposed to read his Bible every day. As a result, it changed his life and how he viewed life. He changed from thinking that God was somewhere up there out there to the realization that God wanted an up close and personal relationship. In the process, he realized that he had to entirely reframe his perception of God.

I was excited to read this book because I'd personally struggled with constantly feeling like I didn't fit in the church box. The summary promised that this book would challenge me to rethink and change my paradigm about my relationship and connection with God.

When I received this book, I eagerly opened it and found that it was easy to get into, easy to understand, it was very encouraging to me (to discover that I wasn't crazy) and that it definitely challenged me to repent of yet more of my own habits, thoughts and misguided beliefs.

I would love to see this book become a best seller in order to challenge the multitudes to reframe their thoughts about God. I would personally like to read this book within a group so as to question and bounce ideas off one another. It would be great to hear how this book would affect others.

It would also be great to hear more specifics from the author as to how his daily life has changed. That might mean a sequel or an accompanying devotional would be in order.

Thank you Tyndale Publishers and Tyndale Blog Network for the complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my review. I was not required to give a positive review. The opinions expressed are my own.
