Part of my purchase is for a person I sponsor in AA who is celebrating one year of sobriety. Over my 25 years of sobriety Brennan Manning has truly been a "God send" on a daily basis with his Reflections for Ragamuffins. I KNOW that "The father of Jesus is very fond of me!"
Bill Demlow5 Stars Out Of 5December 12, 2009Bill DemlowI used this devotional for 2009 and found it wonderful. Brennan Manning's understanding of Grace and relationship with God is amazing. I was challenged, encouraged, and enlightened. Be prepared to use a dictionary since his vocabulary will stretch you. Recommend it for all Ragamuffins.

marie bell-jones5 Stars Out Of 5October 28, 2000marie bell-jonesShort and introspective devotionalsbased on Scripture, giving insightinto how to apply the Word of Godto everyday real life.Jesus walked this earth ministeringto the ragamuffins of His day, andthis book can touch those of us whoare the ragamuffins of the "hereand now"...those of us who live ourlives in the raw and bare-boned way we deal with reality, lookingto Jesus to guide us through whatwe think is unbearable.I've given away three of these booksto friends who have picked up mineand couldn't put it down...I hadto finally buy one that I couldhide in my backpack to read wheneverI needed Brennan Manning's pensiveportrayal of the gospel.
