Product Description

Renowned scholar Neusner portrays Judaism as a universalistic belief system---speaking a language common to all humanity and offering a place in God's kingdom to everybody. His well-researched perspective is in opposition to viewpoints that present the religion of Israel as merely an ethnic faith with its own esoteric tales and traditions. 201 pages, softcover from Augsburg/Fortress.

Publisher's Description

In his latest work, Neusner pleas for vindication of "the universal character and appeal of Judaic monotheism in the mainstream of humanity". Of the three great monotheistic religions, only Judaism has survived without political power, military might, or great numbers of adherents, and has done so because its method and message aim to persuade the world of God's dominion and the marks of God's rule.

I bought this book to give to my Physician, at Petaluma Kaiser, as a Thankyou for helping me with some medical needs.

He is Jewish, but I'm not sure if he is a believer in Y'Shua, or not, but this book talks about him in pertaining to the Torah.

My new Doctor is an exceptional Physician, so as a little thankyou for his time, I gave him this book, along with a copy of the Complete Jewish Bible; and then to see if he could answer the question of the lineage of Melchizidec, which ius first in Gensis, and then in Hebrews, which is taboo for many Jews (New Testament). Both books are from Christian book Distributors and at about 50% that of Retail.
