Diane5 Stars Out Of 5Inspiring and challengingDecember 26, 2018DianeI highly recommend this book to men, women and teens. Tim writes from his own life experiences, the good and the not so good. He is down-to-earth and honest about his own mistakes. He shares about how to hear God speak in small whispers and gentle nudges and how to pray for others in times of need. It is heart-warming to hear about the times he has been used by God to help others. It seems his goal is to not let any moment pass him by where he could serve or bless others. You won't want to stop reading. You will be challenged in your Christian walk. You will be inspired and encouraged to do more for others. The audiobook is well narrated, so give it a listen too.

Purpose.November 25, 2018Nay DeniseNJAge: 25-34Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5I've never read anything from Tim Tebow and didn't know much about him, but was pleasantly surprised by this book. I enjoyed many things about this book. From the quotes before each chapter, to the scripture references. This is not a book for those who don't seek change because this definitely prompts change for the better and getting back to your purpose God has for you. This is the kind of book that you can definitely read in 1-2 days, but I'd recommend a chapter a day. I love that this is an interactive book that asks you questions and get your mind thinking. I found that I was highlighting and answering the questions in a journal to get the full benefits of this book.
Tim shares some of his own personal experiences which gives for an intimate read, but also helps for one to see faith, steadfast love and praise through his storms and tribulations. This is one I would definitely recommend to my readers and those I know.
If you're looking for a book a Christian read with lots of biblical insight and one that will pull at your heart then go grab a copy!
Trailercrafter5 Stars Out Of 5This Is the DayNovember 23, 2018TrailercrafterQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5When I began this book, I was a bit skeptical. I am not really a big sports fan, so all I knew about Tim was what I'd heard through the media. I knew he was a football player and that he was a steadfast Christian, but I had no clue about his actual life beyond that.
Tim had me hooked in the first paragraph of the first chapter. This review is EXTREMEMLY late in coming, but that is because I could not just read parts of this book once and move on. I found myself going back and re-reading several excerpts over and over. You see, this book spoke to me unlike any other "self-help" book.
This book isn't merely a missive to get you to think like Tim or believe his ideas. The contents of this book are truth taken from scripture and with experiences Tim has had, shows how God has a plan for our lives, every moment of the day. THIS is the day to enact that plan God has for us. Start in this moment. It would be fair that this book is certainly anointed in its content and writing style.
The stories are touching, heart-felt and show the determination, heart and compassion of everyone involved. The concepts of faith, love, giving unconditionally, praising God through the storms and loving one another are spot on with Biblical principles and refreshing to read in this type of venue. While Tim does mention his foundation, he does not over-do it and make the reader to feel that this book is all about the foundation.
In all honesty, there wasn't one thing that I didn't like about this book. In fact, I will pass it on to family with a firm directive, "I want this one back!" You see, this is almost like a handbook to go back and reference to when we are feeling low, sorry for ourselves, not quite up to snuff or just downright belligerent.

mjk1084 Stars Out Of 5Passion and Purpose!November 12, 2018mjk108Quality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5"Although pursuing my dream and giving it everything I've got is important, life is more than just crushing every game. It's about meaning and purpose."
Tim Tebow writes in an effortless manner and puts himself out there as though he is having a deep and meaningful conversation with the reader. The book is filled with stories and anecdotes of Tim's busy and fulfilling life. He brings God, family, and purpose to the table in his writing throughout the book. He doesn't only include the good, but he brings the hard times and the pain of real life.
The book is filled with themes of finding the purpose in our lives, living with a strong faith in God, serving a higher power, finding what you feel passionate about in your life, and along with the encouragement we all need to get through the hard times in life. A very uplifting, entertaining read that will definitely encourage readers to find their personal purpose!
This ARC copy was received from Waterbrook Press and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. The above thoughts and opinions are wholly my own.
BJ5 Stars Out Of 5Another Great Book by Tim!November 1, 2018BJQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Another great book by Tim Tebow! This is the third one that I have read (Through My Eyes, Shaken, This is the Day) and in my opinion, the best one. "This is the day" was written during a period in Tim Tebow's life where he is at crossroads: continue down a familiar road or venture into a new territory. Tebow chooses to journey down the new territory not knowing how it will go.
This is Day is written out through the trials and victories that Tim Tebow faced as he pursued a new dream, a new adventure ...following baseball. I appreciate this book for the relevancy, practicability, and encouragement that is seen in each chapter. We all , whether a Christian or not, have opportunities, dreams, and passions but often we are too scared to pursue them out of fear of the unknown or due to being comfortable where we are at. When Tim challenges his readers about making the most of each opportunity- to get up and do something, he helps by giving practical advice or steps that helped him on his journey. By far one of the best aspects of "This is the Day" is the encouraging words that are spoken throughout. Tim is no stranger to hostile environments or even harsh words and criticism but yet he is able to thrive and keep going. He allows the readers to see and experience his mountain top experiences as well as his valleys so that he can encourage others to seize the day.
If you are simply existing, then you need to read this book! If you are afraid to take the next step, then this book would be good for you. If you are under sharp criticism and need encouragement and hope, then look no further. By far the greatest part of this book is the truth of the Gospel; Tim realizes that people can't define who he is neither can a sport or occupation. His identity is found in Christ and it is through this identity that makes him an overcomer!
I'm thankful for the opportunity to be part of the "This is the Day" launch team; it was a privilege to be some of the first people to read this great book and share my honest thoughts and opinions about it. I will definitely purchase edition copies for myself and friends.
"Without a powerful view of God and knowing what's possible though Him, our capacity to thrive is completely diminished. When we begin to see God in a life-changing, miracle-making, and revolutionary way, we can have the courage to take a step of faith. We can do things outside our comfort zone. We can change our familiar routine and old patterns and do things differently, better." (pg49)
