I'm not really a big sports fan, but I have followed Tim off and on in his efforts with the Tim Tebow Foundation since its inception in 2010. I have been very impressed with this young man's integrity, honesty, and boldness while working in an industry that tends to make it hard to hold fast to those values and to stand firm in his beliefs.

After reading Tim's book, This Is The Day, I am convinced that he is the real deal. You get a real sense that the message of this book is one that Tim lives out daily...to wake up each day expecting to have an encounter that is God-ordained...a moment or an opportunity to be an instrument of blessing in someone's life. Through personal stories of encounters with God and others, Tim helps us see how we too can wake up each day to powerful purpose and joy. To live out his own proclamation...

"When we give of ourselves, we are built up. On the other hand, when we constantly take from others, we become empty." I believe Tim looks at each day as an opportunity to win the day. And in God's economy...that means giving our all for the One who gave His all.

I wasn't sure what to think, to tell you the truth. Although, I have heard of Tim Tebow (who hasn't), I was not sure if he had any solid encouragement to give.

I was pleasantly surprised by his book, This is the Day. Sharing from his personal experiences and filled with truth from God's word - Tim exhorts us to focus on the truth that we not promised tomorrow and this is the day! Within this context, he goes on further to tell his reader to embrace all that God has for us.

Much like many self- help guru's of our time, Tim is calling us to not allow the negative voices of the past or present to run our lives. What I appreciate that is different is He points the reader to truth, God's truth. He tells us to believe and look to the a trustworthy God. He reminds us that this God has a plan and purpose for our lives and we can trust Him. I appreciated how he pointed the readers to scripture and specific verses to meditate on that remind us of who we are in Christ, God's children, His masterpiece, that His hand is always upon us, that God loves us with an unfailing love, and that we are chosen of God.

I definitely enjoyed this book and Tim's conversational, relatable style. I am sure that this book will be an encouragement to many!

This book is a great reminder that This is the day. We are not guaranteed tomorrow so what are we going to do with today? Really reminds us what is most important.

I enjoyed This is Your Day: Reclaim Your Dream. Ignite Your Passion. Live Your Purpose. Tim Tebow is a great role model and inspiration for so many. And rightly so. His faith shines through in this book. I loved reading his various accounts with others he has encountered over the years and how he uses his message to inspire others.

This is Your Day is one book that should not be missed. I loved it and give it five stars. I look forward to other books by Tim Tebow.

I received this book from the publisher, but was not required to write a review. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.

    This is the Day

"Imagine waking up each day fueled by a whisper: 'This is the day.' A day for what? you wonder. A day for change. A day that can be different, better than yesterday. A day that, even in the revolving door of responsibilities and to-dos, can be filled with more purpose and passion than you think possible."

Last week, Tim Tebow's newest book This is the Day released and I had the privilege of getting to read it early as a part of the launch team with Waterbrook & Multnomah. I had never read any of his books before and wasn't real sure of what to expect. And I was pleasantly surprised. I know he writes with A.J. Gregory, but I felt the tone of his book was very real and personable. Sometimes when a celebrity writes with someone else the style is stiff and unapproachable or too light and fluffy. But this was really well done and it made me wonder if he is as true and sincere in person as he seems on the page.

Tim shares his story of switching from football to baseball and how people thought he was crazy, but he wanted to do something he had loved since a young age. He also shares how he wants to live in such a way that each and every day is filled with purpose, possibility and saying "yes" to whatever comes his way. One of the things that struck me the most was how he intentionally pays attention to the people around him and listens for the prompting of the Spirit to do some act of service or start a conversation with someone. Then when he shared about the instances when he ignored those promptings, I was encouraged and reminded that even someone who seems to have it all together can mess up and let the Spirit down sometimes.

I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would and look forward to reading some of his others.
