Product Description

Designed to be used alongside the sold-separately Recipe for Reading Manual, Revised, this workbook 7 corresponds to Lessons 78-86 in the manual. Give children opportunities to practice saying and identifying the -ing and -ed endings, as well the same endings on words with silent e and after a doubled final consonant. The long A, E, and U, sounds are also explored along with additional phonetic principles. There are 5 to 8 practice pages for each skill, and activities include phonemic awareness, encoding and decoding, and short, decodable stories. The workbooks can be used with any phonics or core program as additional practice. Workbook 7; Grade 3. 59 non-reproducible pages, softcover.

Recipe for Reading from EPS is a research-based, multisensory, phonics-based reading curriculum that features intervention strategies for struggling readers in grades K-6 or beginning readers in grades K-3. Students who progress through the program will learn consonant sounds, digraphs, consonant blends, diphthongs, short/long vowels, inflectional endings, suffixes, and spelling rules. Incorporating visual, auditory, and kinesthetic techniques, this program is ideal for differentiated instruction.
