The "virgin Bachelor" Sean Lowe reveals the challenges of finding love while championing his Christian convictions in the morally complex world of reality TV.
After The Bachelorette broke his heart, Sean Lowe suspected his "nice guy" image hurt him. The show never emphasized it, but Sean committed to living according to biblical standards of sexuality, even as producers emphasized the risqué and promiscuous. A Texas boy from a Baptist home, Sean tells the story of how he went from a Division I college football player to a fan favorite on reality television, taking readers behind the scenes of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette to see the challenges of living out his values and faithand ultimately winning his true loves heart.
For the Right Reasons is about the journeys we all have to take in the real world, where being "good" is the right thing to do but sometimes doesnt seem to be enough; where betrayal is commonplace; and where that thing called perfection is actually just a cruel myth. Sean learned a few things from his two seasons on the hottest romance shows on television, and he wants others to benefit from those lessons: good does eventually win, lies will be discovered, and "nice guys" do ultimately finish first.
Sean Lowe, one of the three finalists on Emily Maynards popular season of The Bachelorette, later starred in the 2013 season of The Bachelor. Credited by the New York Times for "reinvigorating the franchise," he has been voted Americas favorite Bachelor and is the only one to marry his match from the show. Sean and his bride, Catherine , live in Dallas, Texas, with their two dogs, Ellie and Lola.

If you are a fan of the Bachelor or Bachelorette then you will enjoy this book a lot. It is the story of Sean our favorite Bachelor that seemed to good to be true. After reading his story you know that he really is the real deal and puts GOD first in his life. I really enjoyed how he writes about his journey, he didn't trash anyone, he didn't make up drama, he tells of how he lives his life by his faith and stands by his values. This book has faith all through it and I was very impressed. It is a great clean story (for a change) that will leave you in awe that good guys do finish first.
I would recommend this book for all Bachelor and Bachelorette fans, as it does go into small details about the show that when you watch you never see. It would also be for women that want that relaxing, romantic, keep your faith story, with a very happy ending.

riri5 Stars Out Of 5Holy SweetnessJanuary 19, 2015ririFor the Right Reasons by Sean Lowe with Nancy French was such an eye opener. I completely agree with Sean Lowe in having the faith and conviction to do all good things no matter what others say or are doing in their life. I am not a fan of Bachelorette or Bachelor series, but Sean had something about him that made me aware of him. I never watched either of his seasons, however, I did pay attention to the news bits that were everywhere when his seasons were aired. He captivated his audiences and I believe it has to do with the fact that he was completely honest and was truthful in all of his manners. There is something about a man that can be wholeheartidly determined to maintain his way of beliefs and not let any thing or any one delineate him from his path. He is so amazingly sweet. Reading this semi-autobiographical book about his beliefs and reality stardom made me an even bigger fan. Also, being able to read the behind the camera moments was such a treat because I can only imagine what has gone on with the other seasons and frankly I would not read any of that for all the money in the world. Lowe gives new meaning to the "nice guy" stigma and I love him for sharing so much of himself in today's society. Being different is not always accepted, but I feel he has done it in a way that is brutally honest and believable. I was given a reveiw copy from Booklookbloggers and all opinions are my own.
