I highly recommend this book, as it helps teach little ones about the Bible and helps foster a love for the Lord as well.

My daughter and son-in-law read several story books a day to my granddaughter, who is now ten months old. I thought it would be great to give her a book of Bible stories for Christmas.
Really Woolly Bible Stories is part of a DaySpring series featuring (you guessed it!) really woolly illustrations by Julie Sawyer Phillips. It contains rhyming-style Bible stories retold by Bonnie Rickner Jensen ranging from creation through the great commission. A few of the rhymes are a bit of a stretch, either word or cadence wise, but all in all, it's an ideal introduction to the Bible for very small children. It's rated for ages 4-8, but if you have a younger child than that, please keep in mind that it's a padded board book and therefore quite sturdy. Besides, you should be reading to your baby anyway! Get started with this book.
judesmommy08Age: 25-345 Stars Out Of 5Amazing BookNovember 28, 2010judesmommy08Age: 25-34Quality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5Really Woolly Bible Stories is an AMAZING book. I love to read it to my little one. Over and over we read it and it's a different adventure everytime. It gives you most of the basic stories throughout the bible. Its only flaw is that it doesn't really focus a lot on the stories in the New Testament, but it reflects on some that even I didn't learn as a child.
It is a rhyming book and i love rhyming books. Also, it is beautifully illustrated and you can follow the animals in every story as they lead you through the book. I think my favorite part was that underneath the illustration on each story was the part of the bible in which you could read the entire story. Simply Great! I give it 5 stars!
Hope MarshallAge: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Sweet Board Book for Little OnesNovember 18, 2010Hope MarshallAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 3Meets Expectations: 4Really Woolly Bible Stories is a sweetly illustrated padded board book for very little ones. Overall, the poems are easy to read, and my three-year-old contentedly snuggled on my lap as I read through the entire book in one sitting. The stories are nice and basic and serve as an introduction as well as a jumping-off point for a young child's questions. What I especially love are the charming illustrations. Who can resist? This would be a nice board book to keep in the car or church book bag for quiet time that can stand a bit of abuse.
My favorite bit?
[Jesus] The One God sent to save us came
Because He loved us too.
Jesus is the Son of God
Who gave His life for you.
Note: The introduction clearly states that the Bible is true. However, the book is more universal in nature than Scripture, as the general statement, "You are His child" indicates. The Scripture clearly teaches that prior to faith in the finished redemptive and justifying work of the Lord Jesus Christ on our behalf, we are lost and at enmity with God. (ex. Eph. 2:5)
I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze.com book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
