I am using this for my 1st and 2nd graders and we love it! It is very informative, true to the bible and has plenty of scripture throughout. I am very happy I bought this and will be doing the second part next year, for sure!
My son absolutely loves this book!! I can not say anything bad about it. It explains so much to him that makes sense. We love it!! He loves the lessons, he can understand it because it doesn't use big overgrown words that he would have to look up in the dictionary to figure out what they mean. This book was made for kids his age.
I can't say enough good things about this product. We are LOVING it. We have used many different bible studies as part of our homeschool curriculum and this one is by far my favorite. The kids love the stories and all the activities that align nicely with the stories. I love that there are different levels for the supplemental journal so all of my kids can be learning the same concepts and be challenged in their own way. I also appreciate the additional history tidbits, character concepts, and other cross curricular information that is included within this book. This just makes it more meaningful and easy to relate with for our entire family. I have had many people ask about the curriculum I use and this is one of the first things I mention. I have already purchased the Vol. 2 set that I know we will use upon completing Vol. 1.
I have yet to use this text with our daughter, Awana, or a homeschool class during the 2016-17 school year; however, I am excited to do so. The presentation of the material is beautiful. The style of writing flows easily and guides the reader through the concepts. The activities suggested and the potential of time spent with your child or other students have far-reaching potential for God's glory.
For our family it's the content that draws us to this book. The Biblical worldview is rivaled by no other approach, particular church doctrine, or "philosophy" on which to live. We are excited about the impact this will have not only on our daughter, Awana clubbers, and homeschool students, but also on our family as a whole.
