The Look, I'm Reading! Bible Storybook is a heavy duty hardcovered beginner's Bible. With lots of cute illustrations and short stories, your little one will enjoy "reading" with you. The illustrations are great, but in some of the stories, the key words/characters look very similar. I think it may be difficult for little ones to really tell the difference between 2 very similar characters. This book is a bit heavy for smaller toddlers. I would say this would be better for 4 years and up. This book includes both Old and New Testament stories. Happy reading!

Folks we have found our new FAVORITE Bible for toddlers. Without a doubt, this book gets my HIGHEST recommendation. Hannah (three-years-old), who doesn't like to read or be read to, LOVES this book and is asking to read it regularly.

First I should mention this book is not small. It is 184 pages. And each two-page spread includes a beautiful picture and a selection that Hannah can help me read! Check it out below:

Truly! Take my recommendation and buy this book for the toddler in your life. You will not regret it. Just an outstanding, awesome book that I cannot stop raving about!

I am enjoying the Read and Share Look, Im Reading! Bible Storybook because it is age appropriate for many reading levels:

For theinfant and toddlerlevel there are vivid and colorful illustrations to look at.

For those in prekindergarten or kingergarten (the children who are super eager to start reading) there are little pictures at the top of each story which have written under them what the picture is. Then, in the script of the story the small pictures are substituted in place of the word. For example, there may be a photo of a bear face at the top of the page, with the word bear written under it. Then, in the story, wherever the word bear is supposed to be read, the picture of a bear is placed in the script. An adult can then read the stories to such young children and whenever the photo of the bear is seen, the children can then read bear. Such children will then be able to learn the word bear.

For more advanced young readers there is the opportunity to learn words either one at a time, or to read out loud paragraphs.

The book is very thick. It holds many stories and I like that the stories are short. They are just the perfect length for a young readers attention span. Each story has a vivid full page illustration with it. It also has the related Bible chapter written in the illustration in case the reader would like to look up and read more about each story.

I feel this is a great aid in helping children to learn. I received this book for free from Book Look Bloggers in exchange for an honest review.

Read and Share: Look, I'm Reading! Bible Storybookis a perfect book for beginners. Young readers find joy in being able to 'read' with the help of images. I am not opposed to this concept. It builds confidence and gives them the courage to read a book that might otherwise seem intimidating. Some schools of thought frown completely on this style of teaching. They suggest giving the child no colors, no images, no hints and have them memorize phonetics first, before even attempting to read a phrase, sentence or a book. I disagree. I am a strong believer in immersion. I immerse my children in books, usually way above their reading level. By doing this, they are exposed to challenging vocabulary at a young age.

With books like this, I encourage them to read as much as they can and then I help with the more difficult words. The pictures placed sporadically throughout the page help immensely because even though they might struggle through a few hard words, they can breathe a sigh of relief when they can figure out the picture words, and know that they got those words right.

The book is divided into different sections from both the Old and New Testament based on certain Bible events and characters. For example, The Flood, Abraham's Family, Jesus' Life, Saul Becomes Paul, to name a few. Within these sections are several stories which include a sweet cartoon image with the Biblical reference to the story. The opposite page is ashort, one-page version of the story with three different images scattered throughout. For example, in the story of David and Goliath, the images were Goliath, stones and slingshot. My daughter loved reading through these stories, images and all!

This book is packed with more than 90 Bible stories and would make an excellent gift for a young reader!

There are a variety of children's Bibles out there, and each one seems to have something different to offer. I was excited to have the chance to read and review the Read and Share Look, I'm Reading Bible Storybook.

    The illustrations:

The pictures in this book are kind of cute. Not my favorite, but still fine enough.

    Who the book is for:

This is good for those about three through six, I think. Some younger/older children might enjoy it.

    What I liked:

I like the fact that children can interact with the book and "read" along.

    I like the simple stories.

I like the variety of stories - some that are not included in the average children's Bible.

    What I didnt like:

There is nothing in particular that I didn't like in this book.

    My conclusion:

Overall, as far as children's Bibles go, I thought this one was pretty good.

I give the Read and Share Look, I'm Reading Bible 5 out of 5 stars.

I received this book free to review from BookLook Bloggers. The opinions expressed in this review are my true thoughts and feeling regarding this book. I am disclosing this information in accordance with the Federal Trade Commissions 16 CFR, Part 255.
