Reaching Single Adults
is designed to equip church leadership to develop a comprehensive singles outreach. This book will help you to articulate both a biblical and practical philosophy of ministry. You will also gain an overall understanding of the diversity among the single adult population, as well as the different models of ministry. You will also learn how to identify, recruit, and train leaders. Also included are lists of programs, events, and activities that are necessary for singles ministry to be successful.
Dennis Franck is the director of Single Adult and Young Adult Ministries for the Assemblies of God. He graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University with a Bachelor degree in Music and Psychology, and the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary with Master degree in Christian Ministries.
Although 44 percent of all adults are unmarried, most churches are focused on marriage and families--and so miss many opportunities to reach out as well as to benefit from all that singles can offer to the church.
Here at last is an up-to-date, comprehensive handbook to single adult ministry. Based on his over twenty-five years of experience, Dennis Franck offers church leaders guidance on all aspects of this often-overlooked ministry, including:
-understanding singles' diverse life situations and needs
-developing a biblical philosophy of ministry
-the practical aspects of building a ministry
Pastors and lay leaders will gratefully welcome this new in-depth resource to guide their ministry to, for, and through single adults.
Dennis Franck has been leading single adult ministries for more than two decades. He has written many articles and book chapterson the issues of single adult living and ministry and served on the board of the Network of Single Adult Leaders. He is currently the director of Single Adult and Young Adult Ministries for the Assemblies of God.
