Alan Albro3 Stars Out Of 5May 14, 2008Alan AlbroI have read several of Mr. Yancey's' books including this one and he does give some interesting thoughts. Being an ex-Catholic and now a very convinced Calvinist I do take some exception to his abundant reference to Catholic thoughts and philosophy. I do not know if Mr. Yancey is Roman Catholic or just extremely ecumenical. Any one who has read and agreed with the thoughts of Charles Spurgeon or has personally come out from and experienced the religion of Catholicism like myself will tend to question the biblical validity of some of the thoughts presented in this book because of this. I know Mr. Yancey believes we need the thoughts of other minds such as these but would he quote with such abundance the thoughts of Mormons or Jehovah Witness disciples? I doubt it
