Deborah5 Stars Out Of 5November 22, 2009DeborahI can't imagine a more enjoyable way to study Ancient Egypt. Information on Egypt is scant, but there is enough there to make the drawings interesting even if Ancient Egypt isn't the main topic. The step-by-step instructions are clear and well done, making it possible for even the most artistically-challenged among us to be comfortable trying to tackle a sphinx, Isis, Nefertiti or even King Tut himself. I'd estimate the age range at 8+, but even a 6 year-old who draws well and has an interest could enjoy this wonderful book. Two possible improvements top the book would be 1) permission to reproduce pages so more than one child could draw at a time, and 2) a format that lies open more easily. However, these problems are minimal considering the educational value we received from including this in our study of Ancient Egypt.
