What if we prayed how Jesus taught us to?
Many of us pray with little heart. We mutter the usual and leave with little expectation. But is this how Jesus taught us to pray?
The Lords Prayer is a prayer according to Gods will, a prayer that beckons heaven to crash into earth. Tied to the sure promises of God, it compels us to seekand expectHis glory in every sphere.
When one prays consistently, persistently, and boldly for the hallowing of Gods holy name, big things happen. Radical Prayer gives us a glimpse of the transformative and explosive power of praying in Gods will, a power that takes place internally and manifests externally.Whether your prayer life is strong or in shambles, Radical Prayer will compel you to a life of bold, persistent, transformative, and expectant prayer.
Brianna4 Stars Out Of 5Book Review: Radical PrayerOctober 12, 2016BriannaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4In Radical Prayer: The power of being bold and persistent, Manny Mill presents an argument and plan for increasing and strengthening the readers prayer life. Mill incorporates personal experiences and other stories to demonstrate the power of intentional prayer.
I particularly appreciated Mills discussion of fear as a barrier to prayer, specifically what he refers to as urgent prayer. Prior to reading Radical Prayer, I had not considered fear as a barrier to prayer. But Mills explanations of three basic fears and the appropriate responses were clear and concise and helped me to contemplate fear as a possible barrier in my own prayer life.
Mill writes clearly and convincingly about the importance of intentional, immediate change in response to conviction. Throughout Radical Prayer he provides numerous opportunities for the reader to stop, consider, and practice the prayers, ideas, or techniques that he presented.
Radical Prayer is easy to read all at once, or divided into segments for further meditation and study. This makes the book conducive to individual or group study. Readers looking for intensive theological study may be disappointed, but I think most readers will appreciate and benefit by Mills simple and relatable language and writing style.

When you pray Hallowed be thy name, big things happen.
Many of us pray with little heart, little faith, and little expectation. This is not how we were taught to pray.
In Radical Prayer, Manny Mill describes the power that filled his life and ministry when he started praying boldly and persistently for God to be glorified in all things, and he teaches us to do the same.
When we pray this way, heaven crashes into earth. We see greater obedience, more love, and powerful salvation. Radical Prayer invites us to see what can happen when we pray as we ought.
Today's troubled times require replacing religious and comfortable Christianity with a faith narrative infused by a prayer life that connects heaven to earth. Such a prayer life will ignite a radical faith.Dr. Samuel Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference
About the Author
MANNY MILL is chief executive officer of Koinonia House National Ministries (KHNM), which works to connect Christian inmates to the local church. Manny is a former inmate himself who was transformed by Jesus, as recounted in Radical Redemption. He is also a husband, father, grandfather and graduate of Wheaton College. HAROLD SMITH is the president and CEO of Christianity Today International. BARBARA MILL is a speaker, writer, and the operations director for Koinonia House.
Radical Prayer by Manny Mill is an easy to read book full of wisdom from testimonies and scripture. Manny Mill exhorts his readers to learn what radical prayer life is like when you pray "Hallowed be thy name..." Manny Mill does a great job of pulling the reader into the pages of his book and leaving them encouraged to walk in biblical prayer with proper understanding and acknowledgement of who God is and who we are. Quotes that stood out to me are "A posture of surrender encourages true worship" and "There are no appointments to be made. We have an immediate audience at any time." I recommend this book to anyone who wants a deeper relationship with God through worship and prayer.

HeidiMarie5 Stars Out Of 5Love this book!April 26, 2016HeidiMarieQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book is all about the power of prayer, how we should pray, and how the author has seen God answer his radical, bold prayers. We pray radically so we can love radically!
This book was so great in helping me to understand the need for radical prayer, and it gave tons of examples of these bold prayers being answered in truly amazing ways. Each chapter starts with a prayer and then outlines a concept of radical prayer. Though short (I read this is a day), it is still super impactful.
The book itself is of high quality. I have a paperback edition, and it is smaller than the standard paperback size. The cover feels really nice (I'm a sucker for books that feel nice in my hands) and I really love the image on the cover.
I really enjoyed this book! Normally when I love a book, I keep it, but in this case I think I'm going to pass it on to a friend. I just want as many people as possible to read and learn from this book. I gave Radical Prayer 5/5 stars.
There wasn't anything that I disliked about this book. It was really well written and informative, as well as being a really interesting and enjoyable read.
