Publisher's Description

"…His radiance is like the sunlight; He has rays flashing from His hand…" (Habakkuk 3:4 NASB)

Too many Christians assume that all will be fine when they "die and go to Heaven." But author and pastor Randy Dean, a modern-day firebrand for the Lord, aggressively refuses to settle for that way of thinking and living. From putting his arm around a hopeless person and giving hope to raising the dead, he is building an army to sweep across the land and shine its spiritual radiance on a dark and sleeping world.

The transcendent nature of the Kingdom of God has a dynamic that naturally radiates God's presence and dominating power. Nature itself is agonizing in its wait for you to be radiant with this supreme energy in your very footsteps. -Randy Dean

The authentically good news of the Kingdom of God is a transcendent supremacy - a living energy that by its sheer magnetism draws people into its healing force. God sent Jesus as His Radiance. You, too, can be radiant with a Spirit of an invulnerable, irresistible, and pervasive force.  Back

Dare to live an outrageously attractive lifestyle in every venue of our culture - you are the radiance of His glory!

Editorial Reviews

KEN MYER’S ENDORSEMENT~"If you are looking for a book on theology, then keep looking (I can make some good suggestions!), but if you are looking for a book that will grab you by your spiritual throat and shake you into action beyond yourself, then by all means read Pastor Randy Dean's Radiance.  While it is not a book on theology, it is certainly a theological book - chock full of Scripture references and biblical insights - but what it suggests (no, what it insists on) is that believers not be lulled into complacency by weakhearted, short-sighted religion, and instead embrace the life-changing, world-changing reality of the Kingdom of God which was the message that radiated from the heart of Jesus and the Apostles. Reading the book left me challenged and convicted, and also left me shouting "Amen!" to the propositions Pastor Randy presented. In short, what would happen if Christians actually believed and acted on the things Jesus declared? We would change, people around us would change, and we would radiate the very glory of God which dwells in us. Things would start to happen. If the message of this book is embraced, things will start to happen. Jesus said, "heal the sick, cleanse the leper, raise the dead, cast out demons." How about we actually do this for a change?"

What is the value of my long term friendship with Randy Dean and his family? Incalculable! After 25+ years we’ve faced incredible joys and sorrows of life together...both humanly and ecclesiastically. For years we’ve arched off of one another’s revelation of the Kingdom of God. However, after reading his book, I see more than a dear friend, I see the power of God exploding out of his heart into the hearts of all his readers…including mine!

Randy’s sheer passion for God and His supernatural work in human life is irresistible. If it sounds like Randy may be on the edge…it’s because he IS! He’s on the cutting edge of shocking Christians out of mediocrity and challenging them to be who God destined them to be. What a concept! Randy isn’t just teaching you about God’s Kingdom, he’s describing it from his fervent perspective of being totally consumed by it! He’s not preaching Transcendent Presence; he’s passionately living in the midst of it! He’s not just telling about Jesus; He’s introducing you to his closest friend!

Let there be no doubt about it. Randy Dean is a shepherd…even a shepherd’s shepherd. His heart beats in rhythm with the Great Shepherd. He walks daily with God’s people, weeps with them and over them, as he leads them into green pastures. But beware, dear reader, Randy’s dry and sometimes pithy, humor drives his point home well. He doesn’t spare any of our sacred cows; he sacrifices them all on the altar of the Person of Jesus. He shakes us from our religious concepts and traditional clichés that many of us have blindly accepted. However, his book does more than rev up our spiritual motors; it gives us ways to demonstrate God’s love to the world that desperately needs to see the real Jesus…not a religious one. His masterful flow of words apprehends more than our imaginations; they arrest our very spirit and soul and lead us to God Himself. Randy, your exhilarating persuasion draws people into the realm of the impossible! Write on, my friend! The church and the world need to hear God’s heart through you.

The Lord said, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" Randy Dean said, "I will! Send me!" And so you have this fiery passionate gift of a book in your hands.

Reading "Radiance" is grappling with the Holy Spirit, at full blast, through a fire hose! It will bring you to your knees, it did me! The book demands a response. Not a "response" of interminable consideration or eternal pondering. It demands ACTION: either open your life entirely to knowing God and experiencing His profound love, His transforming radiance (and strap in for the ride of your life!) or resist and live that to which you’ve grown accustomed. Embrace the former and the promise and power is Kingdom Come to Earth. Continue in the latter and nothing changes, not you or anything within your influence. Do not read this book if you want to remain the same!

Randy Dean asks his readers to consider the question: If We are the Light of the World, Why is Everything So Dark?" His new book "Radiance" is made up of twenty-eight engaging chapters which explore the relationship of "Transcendent Supremacy" in worship and in "Kingdom Miracle's today. Randy encourages Christians to move from living lives of mediocrity to live as authentic Christians exuding radiance "like the sunlight." Pointed illustrations and tongue-in-cheek humor are used to guide and transform the reader the from the dull lethargy so many of us have unconsciously grown accustomed to, into active, spiritually awakened, radiant followers of Christ. Randy asks real and probing questions with the hope that the reader will think, study, and seek real answers for themselves. He uses stories and illustrations of healing and victory to help the reader move beyond spiritual bankruptcy to claim the hidden "treasures" of God. I was personally moved by the Randy's personal testimony included in the chapter titled "Just a Good- Looking Guy." The chapter includes profound insight into eschatology and introduces some new perspectives for contemplation and self examination. . Expect to be profoundly moved by Randy's description of allowing God to nourish his heart, soul, and mind through the Biblical example of "the call and ministry of Moses." An articulate communicator Dean's writing is a brilliant, scripturally sound, spirit anointed, powerfully passionate. Randy writes with power and confidence. "Radiance: If We Are the Light of the World, Why is Everything So Dark? is a clarion call for Christians today to experience a life of "Transcendent Supremacy." As Reviewed for Midwest Book Review

Author/Artist Review

Author: Randy Dean
Located in: Emerald, WI
Submitted: December 13, 2010

Tell us a little about yourself.  I'm a pastor of 38 years, I've been at my current church, Living Word Chapel, Forest, WI, for 22 years. I'm also the chair of a local public school board of education.

What was your motivation behind this project?  To call the church to a "radiance revolution".

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  I hope the reader will be forever struck with the need for a passion for the transcendent nature of the Kingdom of God.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  The world does not need yet another Christian book. We NEED new hearts. My own heart is poured out in this project.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  Bill Johnson, Kris Vallotton, Ern Baxter, Dan and Sheila Rhodes and many others, too numerous to name.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  From the introduction: "...I've been pounding these words into my computer for two and half years, but in truth, I've been incubating them and passionately seeking to live them through out 35 years of ministry. These are my passionate ponderings. I may not be the only one saying these things, but I am one. I pray they will contribute, in ways small or great, to a reformation and a new American Awakening."
