If you are willing to be challenged, this book is worth the read. Prayer, Quantum Physics and Hotel Mattresses definitely had me thinking. The author contends that thoughts have real results and science offers a way to help us understand how they intersect. He goes through a lot of information in an understandable way for the general reader. He offers scripture with the science to help understand the intersection. The author also reminds us that that God is unpredictable and sometimes throws us curve-balls to we see Him as the source, provider, the way and the truth.
The reader is given an understanding of quantum physics that let you see that what can be proven mathematically doesn't always make sense to us intuitively. He says that God is spirit and can communicate with us in a purely spiritual way or he can choose to communicate in the language of physical reality.
I agree that God is bigger than the Bible, however I struggle with some of his suggestions that Christians put too much emphasis on the Bible. Intellectually, I understand what he is saying. My traditional view that all things can be grounded in scripture is challenged. Challenging me is not necessarily a bad thing.
He talks about the benefit of being part of a "Spirit web." This allows us to be in conversation with God through the use of quantum physics that can be transformative in our relationship with Him. It relates to the theoretical concept of a wormhole.
There is so much in this book. I could go on and on. The author moves on to neuroscience (study of the brain) and the existence of a soul.
The book is full of understandable information and it is exciting to begin to understand how science and God inter-connect.
Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this E-Book free from the publisher through Destiny Image Book Review Program. <http://www.destinyimage.com> Book Review Program. I was required to write an honest review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part 255
When I received this book I read the introduction and I was not impressed. ÃÂ The title was a bit scary since I was never one for science. ÃÂ As I continued reading I was not even finish chapter 5 when I started to wonder when volume 2 will come out.
The author made a convincing statement that science (quantum physics) and The Bible are not at odds. ÃÂ They are saying the same thing. ÃÂ This book is not just about science but the inner workings of faith.
While reading at times you may be agitated because it will disturb your theology. This book causes you to think about what you believe.
Prayer, Quantum Physics and Hotel Mattresses will leave a mark causing you to never forget it. àMy book is yellow from highlighting. It was hard to pick a favourite chapter. I was very intrigue with the chapter on ââ¬ËThe Incredible Spiritual Brain", where quantum physics was used to explain prophecy. The concept I took away from reading this book is, the unseen and the seen world are not two distinct worlds but one in the same. Also, the author made it clear that the universe declares The Lord's glory and therefore everything is holy. Everything you do in your daily life has glory in it.
In readying ââ¬ËPrayer, Quantum Physics and Hotel Mattresses' it leaves you in awe of the majestic, grandeur, and overwhelming goodness of God. This book makes you want to read and speak ââ¬ËThe Word" more. Prayer, Quantum Physics and Hotel Mattresses makes The Bible come alive because you are seeing it from a new lens.
Your life will be transformed if you start to put these things into practice. The kingdom of darkness should be very afraid, if all Christians acquire this knowledge and apply it. Christians could actually bring heaven to earth if they get the concepts in this book.
Basically, Quantum Physics and The Spiritual World are connected.
The publisher has provided me with a complimentary e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review of this book
