Product Description

The book of Proverbs begins with the question, "How does a man become wise? The first step is to trust and reverence the Lord" (Proverbs 1:7 TLB). In essence, what people believe about God determines how wisely they live life. The Pursuit of Wisdom: A Fresh Look at Proverbs 31 takes a look at that biblical model of wisdom and applies those truths to everyday life. This 4-part Bible study guide contemplates the "Proverbs 31 woman" example and shows everyone - women, men, married, single - how to pursue true wisdom and gain spiritual courage.

Special features include insights from accomplished mother/daughter writing team, Alice Mathews and Karen Mason along with starting points for deeper reflection for individual study or group discussion.

Publisher's Description

“The Proverbs 31 woman” is often viewed as some unattainable standard for wives—a lofty look at what they should be doing. But let’s look again. It’s not just for women . . . or even for married people. Proverbs 31 paints a picture of a person with godly wisdom, and we can all learn from that. Wisdom comes from knowing God and prioritizing our lives to His heartbeat, so we gain an inner strength to handle life’s challenges. The Pursuit of Wisdom: A Fresh Look at Proverbs 31 helps us understand this model of wisdom and apply those truths to our own lives.
